Questing seems to be the way to level now.

After the patch just questing on my magus i have noted some things.
1. The amount of exp for quest turn ins has been boosted to x3 to x4 of the original value of the quests. Most quests in the Pragg areas were ranging between 27k to 42k per turn in.
2. Killing quest mobs nets x3 the normal exp. At full rested just killing ordinary mobs was netting 5k. Kill the quest mobs while having the quest was netting 15k.
3. Group questing would, at this time, be the optimal way to level since the turn ins are not effected by grouping and you can cleave though mobs and quest objectives quickly wit ha group..

As it should be, the quests are worth doing and the story well crafted

I disagree. When I last levelled a character via questing it took AGES. Maybe that's because I did it inefficiently. Either way I found the story uninteresting. Grinding mobs isn't probably as interesting as questing, but I've found it's much faster. Less time going back and forth between quest givers and objectives and more time getting XP directly. Group XP grinding is also faster, but you need a dedicated group who keeps up with each other and works effectively. A solo grinder going hard at mob killing can hit 40 in a couple of days. For me it took about 5 days hard grinding.

You talking about pre-quest buff, they recently buffed xp from quests. I'm not sure which is faster though. It takes about an hour per level grinding mobs solo.

3 isn't entirely correct unless your group is all of the same race in its racial pairing.

My magus started at rank 35 at 13% to 36. After doing chapter 18,19,20 and a couple parts of annihilation im now rank 38. I also skipped a few quest here and there due to them being annoying or too difficult to do quickly.

I guessing that you can now, if you focus solely on quest completion, level to 40 from 32 from just one pairing.

Except there is a bug where the group leader doesn't receive the quest npc bonus exp like the others in the group.
Tested it alternating group leader.

Still the turn in themselves are very high. The benefit of a group would be the ability to get them done very quickly.

Sounds awesome. Agreed. Quests are more interesting and engaging and should be the best way to level rather than grinding mobs. Good change

BTW 40 now that the fastest i have ever leveled a char to 39 t0 40.
