The healing debate
Re: The healing debate
Why would ever use FE if EoV can get you regular 3k heals on a shorter CD

That torq post was 10/10 (actually quoted the exact abilities he said I omitted)Dabbart wrote: Wed Jul 25, 2018 5:14 pm Bozzax likes to troll about classes he doesn’t play anymore... like being called out by Torque for just ignoring everything changed to Bo that he “doesn’t like”, only to admit he hasn’t played BO in ages. how “0 6mans use Shams!”(Run Like Hell disagrees here...) Or that there are no 6man guilds on destro at all, so don’t nerf Mara plz! (I guess DROW and the other guilds don’t “count” anymore...) Not feedback or derail, just troll that doesn’t test anything.
And Lifetap works really well now. I was running around purposefully targeting tanks and “bad targets” just to try it out. Very rare disrupts(often get all 5lifetaps cast on a SnB tank for 1k+ heals). On squishies it’s even better.
Sham AP issues nearly disappear(even without ANY AP tactic slotted) just by using HoTs/cleanse/Lifetap and the occasional grp-heal. I was roaming for hours yesterday, The system works, and unlike .ab ex it isn’t entirely OP!
I love these new changes. I feel like I have my Sham/AM healer “back” finally. The “formulaic” healer breakdown isn’t “up to date” anymore.
The AM/Sham now have the capability to heal someone they do NOT have LoS on better than any other healer. People forget how big of a deal it was during .ab ex, but they will remember. I only need LoS on my enemy target to Lifetap my ally. That is a major boon at times, especially for a Kitey Healer.
A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

Re: The healing debate
In response to your post dabbart I'd say I need a bit more time to test, but if it were to be slightly upped, then I would start with the aoe range of the heal and then see how that changes things. I may have bee a bit too hasty with asessing the healing potential after I've given it a second thought.

Re: The healing debate
As a healer ( only tested properly on the AM so far, with wild healing ) I would say that the fun from ab.ex times is back dabbarts post summed it up very good. Only used Balanced essence, not EoV. Just by reading tooltip you see it is underperforming by the short radius, but that is ok. I am using expanded control for the shorter cast, effectivly making BE a reliable oh **** heal that heals for 2k regularly with very short cast time. I chew through ap pots fairly fast though, with wild healing. Striketrough issues is non existant. This with 700ish willpower

Re: The healing debate
Do the AM really need AP tactics ?
could any AM share your play style plz ?
so far my 50 AM hardly felt lack of AP.
rarely it happened then I manage AP with extra care until 80%.
mostly avoiding overheal of group heals.
don't waste on hopeless and spend on right target etc.
It's mystery to me so many healers experiencing AP problem.
obviously I'm not good healer, show me your tricks plz

Re: The healing debate
Hot, Cleanse and Shield should be used to build empowered heals. As they are instants and low ap cost.anarchypark wrote: Thu Jul 26, 2018 12:39 pm Do the AM really need AP tactics ?

gheals should be used empowered for the ap and cast reduction. Dots/1tick of Sear can be used to shift mechanic to reduce cost of a gheal as the cast time reduction makes it a free gcd. Less time casting more ap regen.
Obviously with the increaed cost of lifetaps you have to empower them best done through hot/cleanse/shield.
Hot/Cleanse/Shield > Lifetap > Dot > GHeal is my base rotation getting empowered lifetap and gheal.

Re: The healing debate
It certainly helps with sieges being able to hide and spam gheals all day. If you want to be a pure healer and ignore lifetaps its still a killer tactic that puts it ahead of shaman as pure healer.anarchypark wrote: Thu Jul 26, 2018 3:52 pmty, so you don't need AP tactic right?
