This is a pretty good summation, except I'll add that in bombing situations when your healers are 30-40ft from the frontline, it doesn't matter if zeal AP ritual doesn't work off healing, you just aoe the frontline and get massive AP back, then keep healing.

Shaman didnt have so much ap issue on live cos all bis gear post sov had ap procs. So when sovereign gear is implemented, if devs copy any design from live shamans ap issues will be gone.
My problem with shaman heal here is that aint don yet doesnt work with hots which wasnt the case at live. Other wise solid healer when ap issues got fixed
Zealots got woi which is pretty strong and unique skill that deserve mentioning esp at orvr environment

WP and RPs are the toughest healers (stun, armor, avoidance etc) pairing with the highest healing output what else matters? Add order only +15% heals from KOTBs and +5% healcrits (+10% healcrits from IB as well).

(KW is great but FO isnt **** either)

It doesn't matter anymore now though since Lifetaps are in the game, Shaman's AP problems are lot less of a problem now and more of just a slight annoyance

Also, between Z and RP it’s important to remember that Zs can cleanse IB heal debuff(curse) but RPs can’t cleanse the BG one(Hex). Who can cleanse what is a huge deal in 6man scale, less so in larger scale where WP/DoK grp cleanse is king regardless.

At the end of the day, it matters who is playing the healer far more than which class they are playing.

Shaman aoe is 20s uptime, which provides you 20s worth of ap ticks at 25% chance (pretty sure it doesn't even have to hit, even if it gets disrupted you get the chance at AP regen)

Ah you're right, it only gives initial damage. I thought it was a dot for some reason.
