In the classic implementation of city sieges they were intended to be PvP with opposing groups fighting around and supporting NPC heroes. And in the beginning they were with some really epic fights.

But in time what happened is they became PvE farms with warbands shopping for open instances where they wouldn't be opposed OR with premade WBs shopping for instances full of PUGs so they could easily wipe them and just get on with the PvE.
thats why i prefer to see one big instance instead of bunch empty ones to farm peacefully. There anyway not so much ppl to play ( i remember there was usual practive on Norn to bring like 2 guild warbands and about 6 PUG to lock zones on daily basis. Can't imagine same here).
however old system had some wrong things like lowbie tier points which is affected siege progress (scenario). So i had to create alt just for this city siege.

Is rvr/sc gear (anhi , conqueror , dominator) provide ward or only pve(redeye , onslaught)? Or both ?
And wich level of ward the next dungeon required ?

Only PvE gives wards. You need all wards to access next dungeon. Wards are acquired from equiping piece of gear.
On live according to tome of knowledge, Pve and RVR gear gives ward , to allow player who are not commited in pve to run dungeons.
This way people who has full conqueror but not a single sentinel piece because they doesn't run a Bloodwrought enclave and bilerot group can access to Lost Vale or city siege P2 in his first iteration.

It's different on RoR ?

And wich gear provides wich ward ? Is the Onslaught provide ward , or should i obligatory run Gunbad in order to be able to run the next dungeon ?

Thanks in advance for the answer :)

It's different on RoR, you want PvE, run whole PvE, not just the latest one with best gear. This is to encourage the playerbase to actually run the PvE and master it instead going for the lowest hanging fruit.

Onslaught will not give wards.

First wards will come from equiping Gunbad set - Redeye.

I think this can be problematic.
All the works for the dungeon you do is superb. But what s the point if 50 % of the player base cannot see it ?
It's extremely difficult to find a group for gunbad now.
When you gather content behind access , a lot of people cannot run this.

Do you have data to know how much different account already run Gunbad and has all the wards needed for the next dungeon ?
Maybe i'm wrong and much more people than i think already done gunbad
Thanks for your time and work to maintain this game alive ❤

But you can access the new content. Just get wards, what's the problem? You don't want to play the content to get rewards?

Eh is it that you want a pvp alternative as well for the wards?
I kinda understand peoples thoughts about gunbad and a few of the ch22 pqs, they are hard and require some thought on the players behalf and thats more then the average joes are willing to commit to the game, but thats just my opinion...
Gunbad takes time to learn, pve overall takes a little time to understand.

It's more like if for example someone never done gunbad(because he don't like greenskins theme/was not playing when gunbad was released/ don t have time ) , and want to run a group for the new dungeon (if i'm not wrong city ones for sentinel) he is going to be a dead weight for the group. So no one is going to group him for this.
And if all people who run pve already get ward and gunbad done , they have little to no interest in running this one again , and so finding a group for gunbad became more difficult to say the least
It's "jump on train before it's too late" design.

Gunbad wards will be easy to get .

Once next dungeon test phase will be over , I’ll adjust gunbad difficulty to make it a more accessible dungeon .

You’ll have two ways to get the ward in gunbad .

When next dungeon will come in live , I think you’ll find a group for gunbad

So you better jump instead of looking for excuses. Also, find some in game friends and an active guild which is not just RvR puggers.

My message are not agressive hargrim.
I just want to understand the reason behind this choice.
I'm not looking for excuse , simply because i'm probably going to run gunbad anyway.
It 's more a matter of curiosity .
Anyway the discussion is over for me , as grunbag give me a clear answer.
