Hello.
Quick question, I don't understand what directx is or how it works. I have DirectX 12 on Windows 10.
The installation page says https://www.returnofreckoning.com/join.php#download at the bottom Step 6 - Install Direct x9.0c
My question is, will having two direct x's on my computer cause issues? Is direct x 12 being the latest version backwards compatible so i do not have to install direct x 9.0c? or do I need to install it?
Thanks

You need v9. You can install as many as you like it wont cause problems.

Re: Installation question - DirectX 9.0c
Hi I have some problems installing direct x 9.0c. When I click on the link on installation guide page, and try to download this file it asks me where I should download it into. The Installation page does not tell me where to download it into, and the installer has blank space where drive is so I have to manually know where to install thissaupreusse wrote: Tue Jul 03, 2018 9:47 pm You need v9. I installed it on desktop and it loaded lots of files, and had an installer, I installed from the installer and then deleted all those files that had small grey computer picture icons. But im worried i did it wrong and should have installed the many, many files into another folder?
And when i tried to just install direct x9.0c directly from microsoft website - https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/downloa ... x?id=34429 It did not let me. (and had message saying something like only works on old Operating systems like vista and stuff and would not let me install)
