Addons - if u use them make sure they are updated

I have found so far in RoR (without official testing) that if you are going to use addons - do the work, make sure they are updated to latest version and that you don't run "extra ****" that you don't need.

I have found that some old addons are possibly a cause of bad things, on this server.

Some old ones need to be updated:

Check other threads and read about addons.. Search the nets... Tesq has a big stash also..

If you are not sure, maybe put extra addons in a temporary folder or else bin them.

CHECK YOUR ADDONS - I HAVE NOTICE A TREND OF SOME ADDONS TURNING ON BY THEMSELVES!!

yea, a lot of add on are outdated, but some still work, for exemple add on that change UI should work even if they are not 1.4.x game version ( every add on have 2 version: add-on and game client version).
For exemple nerfed button it's 1.4.2 or even lower but it works fine.
Other add on can be usefull due to 1.4.0 change or not official server data(like ui add on that touch party even if we dont know for future cos party are not still correct implement)

Hey. The main reason I mention this is, believe it or not, I get less problems after I updated:

BuffHead, BoldEvent, Kill Notifier, WSCT etc.. I don't know why but I have less issues... There was a issue where I would hitch badly at respawning and sometimes crash.. Once I updated I see less of this issue right away.. Could be mistaken but perhaps not.

Myself, I was still using my old directory from AOR days so that is partially my fault. Others may not have taken a moment to check the latest version.... Some, like you say may run perfectly fine but I think some others should be checked and updated just in case.

Might be a problem for people who re-install and re-download addons. The old client works like a charm, when it is the latest one.
