Cheers Darosh, that explanation is a big help! And I didn't think anyone sounded harsh, that's a good idea especially for people like me who are on the hunt for info.

I'm also behind the idea of fashionhammer, i did take a look at sovereign armor sets but that's waaaay off. (i also heard they arent in the game yet either)

A couple skins of higher RR sets (atleast Invader, Warlord - subSov) can be found here and there (PvE influence, RR sets, RvR influence, world drops, yadayada), tho the signature skins aren't in the game just yet. Imperator/Overlord are skins stripped from NPC, iirc, so they are entirely unqiue.

You can find most skins on the forums, just search for 'developer preview', you can find everything from Devastator to Conq/Dominator - BL, Redeye and Onslaught are mix and match, Merc and Anni, too, have some higher tier skins mixed in if I am not wrong.
There is also a preview for the epic quest weapons, atleast for the T4 ones ~ the T3 skins float around somewhere on the forums, too.

Have a few treats here and there. These spreadsheets are curated by the satff, but might contain minor discrepancies with the gear available ingame. For the rest have a look at the wiki, Dan' has filled it with most - if not all - available gear sets, and some how-to's, too.

Also, for a very rough sketch of your way through the tiers and gear, have a look at my post in the thread I linked you initially.
