It also depends on situation. Sure, a guardian specced WL may be easy in 1v1 (I don't know as I have never played one) but a ST dps such as the WL is much more difficult to play in a aoe wb vs wb situation.

Continuing on the WL it is perhaps the most easy mdps class to pug on as you have great mobility and burst. However, against good opposition the lion constantly gets murdered leaving the WL very lackluster.

In general, I would say chosen/knight, dok/wp and sorc/bw, in that order, are the easiest classes to play and succed on.

The thing about the current build for white lion is that the damage output isn't in keeping with the amount of mitigation the class has, basically they are to tanky for the damage they do.

You are right though focusing the pet in group play is an easy way to neuter the cat. Out side of group play killing the pet as melee at least can take a bit to long though.

Don't get me wrong, I think the guardian is stupidly good in smallscale atm. To the point of destroying solo/duo roaming on destro. But do guardians have good dps in a group setting? Seems to me that they have very low dps and provide little in a group fight but I may be wrong as it seems as some WL have decent dmg and survivability somehow.

The "classic" WL, i.e. hunter/axeman, have good burst but I feels it rather squishy. Like if I get jumped by a geared WE I have like 1-1,5 k health when i get out of kd.

This is the basic balance problem with the WL. In SC's and small groups they are way overpowered, WL gank squads have replaced WH's as the solo/roaming class.

But in a WB v WB fight you barely notice a WL, maybe as a speedbump as the melee train powers through.

It's hard to balance for both roles.

Only so much that can be done to remedy that. Most melee classes do kinda suck at warband scale due mostly to a lack of high sustained aoe out put.

They all have a bit, but only 2-3 the slayer, the mara and maybe the choppa depending on you point of view have any sort of sustain when it comes to aoe.

The easiest class is marauder/WL

Throw an axe, wait for morale 1, use morale 1, gank, repeat.

Every thread turns into a class balance thread

Yeah, small scale is all about single target burst, WB is all about the aoe.
