Welp, seems like destros here consider giving an actual moral drain to order as something gamebreaking, while solely enjoying it for themselves.
Imagine my shock.

Order is no different. Both sides do the same when it comes to their oped abilities.Scrilian wrote:Welp, seems like destros here consider giving an actual moral drain to order as something gamebreaking, while solely enjoying it for themselves.

Well yes
but is that really true here considering the class changes made in RoR have kinda really blur'd what each faction "specializes in"?
Destro got morale pump nerfs and order had it's crit chance pumping nerfed etc

Re: Heaven's blade - Crushing blows
Only reasonable change to give SM AoE Morale drain is to change Lingering Intimidation to morale drain affects two additional targets within 30 ft. Make it require a shield and maybe drop the morale it drains (would have to test values to find a good amount imo). Tying it to a blade enchant is asking for issues imo.dansari wrote:This isn't the balance forums so it'll likely be locked... But I don't see any viable morale drain but Mara Crushing Blows. Yes, knight Solar Flare papperhammer is fun, but this specific drain is niche in that: it requires only a tactic slot, and can be used with spammable AOE abilities. I personally would love it if SM gained a morale drain tactic that could be used with AOE abilities, but from what I can tell, the team doesn't necessarily like morales anyway, so who knows what's going to happen in that regard.

They'd also have to move it up the mastery to a 12 tactic.Manatikik wrote:Only reasonable change to give SM AoE Morale drain is to change Lingering Intimidation to morale drain affects two additional targets within 30 ft. Re: Heaven's blade - Crushing blows
another factor I sort of forgot, having a core morale drain would be unfair considering MA's need to spec for it

Re: Heaven's blade - Crushing blows
The answer is simple:DokB wrote:Not sure what 6% equates to numbers-wise, but LFO is a tactic tied to Clobber with no CD/nor stance requirement.
Meanwhile IB on the SM is a 5s CD non tactic ability with stance requirement.
I like the balance between these two skills on SM/BO.
Can’t say I’ve seen any BO run the tactic in small scale, nor can I see it as viable in large scale.
- Because it's lackluster to use single target ability which is bound to a tactic slot, while as a tank you should perform other duties rather than diving into BW and spamming Clobber. Moreover AM morale pump single heal negates this clobber bs with ease.
I do have BO twink, and as a tank (for largescale RvR, where you should soak dmg and use HTL) i don't even look at that tactic.

Re: Heaven's blade - Crushing blows
The Marauder aoe drain does sacrifice some warband dps. As tanks aren't expected to provide fantastic dps in a warband setting as their job is damage mitigation it would be very feasible to run the stance on the warbands sword masters without loosing any dps.
this seems like an imbalance.

Re: Heaven's blade - Crushing blows
If Chosen/BO/Shaman would retain their original tactics, i see no problem that with Heavens Blade with a tactic also able to drain morales aswell as resists. Could replace the Blessing of Heaven tactic for example as it's extremly weak on it's own and extremly costly.
But with the current Destruction tactics, NO. Then there would be massive realm imballances as destro are much more dependant on morales then order.
