So perhaps this is too much work or not worth the trouble, here's what i've got on my mind.
The current brackets for ORvR are 1-15 and 16-40.
As a level 16, 20, or even 26, with level 48 bolster it can be quite frustrating to go against level 40s in conqueror armor. Or even in annihilator/mercenary. The truth is, you are out geared, and out classesed. You don't have your powerful abilities and tactics yet.
Many people going into 't4' rvr fresh out of t1, having never played the game before get introduced to a whole new world. Lets be honest, it's very different standing on a BO with the other team having 400% AAO to going to mostly even numbers and giant keep sieges.
Many level 40 players simply will not step into t2 to lock the zones, take keeps, etc. The game just doesn't hat that ... UMPH! that t3-t4 has.
Is there any possibility to combine tier 1 and 2. And then leave t3-4 together? This way newer players get introduced to keep sieges. It can rotate between the 6 zones as it does now. It will allow players who have left t1 and don't want to fight level 40s a chance to play the game. Currently if you are any sort of melee character between 16-28 you are just an easy target in big boy RvR.
Perhaps the brackets would be more balanced being level 1-25 and then 26-40.
I know there are issues with those numbers as well. Level 25 players going against level 1s.. But the truth is it is much quicker to get from 1-15 than it is from 16-29, and those players can quickly get to level 10+ and be put in decent gear and have fair set of abilities.
It keeps Devestator armor out of the low level tier, and when you are kicked into t3-t4 RvR you hopefully now have enough renown and tokens to be put into slightly better gear and have a fighting chance.. You are close enough to the 29-31 level to have your 'powerful' abilities and tactics.
I am curious as to what opinions are out there about this. I might be off my rocker, and it may be way more imbalanced this wway than the current system.. but perhaps it may be better.
