Hello,
I had a character named 'Cum' which appears to have been deemed inappropriate by 1 GM, but not 2 others. If it's going to be deemed offensive, that's fine. However, my name was changed without warning to something random. I am wondering if I can be flagged for a name change instead so I can choose something else.
I apologize if this is against the ToS. I have been speaking in public chat channels since I was around level 5 and figured it wasn't that bad since nothing happened previously from moderators who would have surely seen it at the time. I wouldn't have continued levelling if there was going to be an issue with my name.
Thank you.

Re: Name changed
Congratulations on your new name. We don't give warnings. Please provide any approval you've received from 2 other GM's for my review.mjes87 wrote:Hello,

Re: Name changed
Based on your first sentence, it sounds like that won't change anything for me. So, I won't bother.
Thanks for your time.

Re: Name changed
U were spamming the hell on advice channel with ur "old name" and its uses. It was like this was only reason u created such named toon. During scenario we saw in adv channel several ppl said u need to leave channel with ur hobby or they will report u. Its touching how now u care about ToS.
Re: Name changed
I was not spamming. People tended to comment on my name when I spoke in public channels and I saw no harm in joining in on the fun. Nobody said anything about reporting it until today.
I'm not sure what you mean by "Its touching how now u care about ToS." as I never intended to violate it. And, to be fair, it's kind of hard to avoid it when the definitions are so vague. I've never seen anyone get offended (or pretend to be offended) by the word 'Cum' before.
If have a look in the guild I'm in, we all chose silly names. I really don't know why you're assuming malicious intent...
Regardless, nothing is changing with my name and I chose not to pursue this further, so I don't really know why this is still open...

"Silly" names, disgusting names, vulgar names. We change them all! We don't give warnings. You get some random and mysterious name to engage in deep meaningful roleplay.mjes87 wrote:I was not spamming. I'm still waiting on the names of those 2 GM's that you accused of allowing this name. It wasn't optional.
Re: Name changed
I have a screenshot I took that contains one of their names along with a message where someone tells me I shouldn't be drawing attention to myself. I don't have any record of the GM that was monitoring chat at the time, but the person who was banned was previously banned by the GM who was monitoring chat. I'm assuming you may be able to get it from logs. I will PM you the picture as it contains an offensive guild name the player was banned for.

You should have a few free moments to PM that screenshot of the 2 GM's who approved your name.mjes87 wrote:I have a screenshot I took that contains one of their names along with a message where someone tells me I shouldn't be drawing attention to myself. Re: Name changed
There was no 'approval' of my name. There was simply a lack of action with two GMs present in Off-Topic while I was speaking there. I am not 'accusing' the two GMs who did nothing of anything.
My request was a simple "Can I change my name?" with some added details for context related to my situation. You said no, I said ok. Is this court room trial approach really necessary for such a simple question?
