SO last night(around 11:45pm eastern time) right before the server crash\restart i bought a +164armor bonus 300ish gold i slot it in my gear and the server went poof!!!
...I logged back in today 9:30am eastern time and my 164armor tali is no longer there and its still my old 150armor bonus instead.

Rip off much???

Your - or rather the server's - timing was just too 'perfect' and all the things went poof before the change in your gear was logged, whereas the trade did get logged.

The official stance on these things is that they aren't compensated for, iirc - I'd suggest to pray and hope that the next proper server restart (on a patchday) fixes your issue, if that doesn't happen... well, I am sorry for your loss.
