Loot Bags and Contribution

Maybe, my thought were if i could accrue t2 gold bag bonus on my r40 character i would have an option to chase gensis bags. What were your points?

As far as I know, those patch notes meant you accrue gold bag bonus for tiers seperately, not that t4 characters only receive gold bag bonus for t4 zones.

So say you get a gold bag in t2, that doesnt use up your accumulated gold bag bonus for t4. It actually incentivizes you to do all the zones, as you have seperate bonuses for each tier. Basically, it is the opposite of what you thought it was, if I am not mistaken.

Some clarification on that point would be excellent, as the patch notes read that you do not accrue bonus in zones out of your tier if English is your primary language.

It seems we are reading things differently so i'm happy to agree to disagree until we know the correct answer.

You ONLY get bonus for the tier your chapter is in. So all level 40s only get bonus for T4 zones.

Tbh, i don´t think there is a system behind loot bags. The only ones i get are white. Yesterday it said i won a major loot bag, but it was just purple. And i play for more then hours. Others log in, play 10 mins and get gold, and not only 1 time. nope, 4 in 2 days. I´m not wining. i´m already just happy to get my white bags, still 400 to go to full Conq. But still, it´s strange.

Beating a bit of a dead horse here, but it feels like healing nets very little contribution. My main shaman has won exactly two gold bags ever, including before conq was released. Zero purple bags. My squig and BO are much better off gear wise which is surprising as they are little played. I readily heal out of group so I'll maybe have to spec dps and see how she plays out with the rolls. Still like this system better than the old.

Yes, it is more than something you are 'feeling'. I have compared time spent in oRvR with my RDPS compared to my healer and it isn't even ball park close. I get way larger defense ticks and zone locking contribution, not to mention way way more medallions and drops playing my RDPS toon.

It basically works like this:

RDPS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DPS on healer >>> Healing on healer


If you want to progress your healer, I suggest running DPS outside of scenarios unless you can get in an optimal group that dishes out a ton of damage. If you are in warband and you don't have any DPS in group or your warband leader won't make the groups fair in regards to available DPS.... go solo and switch to DPS.

The only times I have recieved better than white loot bags is those times when I have taken the leadership role in a WB, a role I would say that atleast 95-98% ? of the destro population shun at all costs, often in PuG wbs you see that green "crown" thingie that marks the leader, jump around like a pinball.

Like to add though that the system prior where there was only like 20? bags total to roll for, leaving the vast majority of players w/o a bag, sucked so hard, this system is way way better.

I'd love to help by logging my contribution vs reward to provide informed feedback but since "contribution" is a hidden concept vs the much more important random roll it's very hard to provide informed feedback on these systems.
