Not at all, this statement is only true for dualwield. 2h is a completly different matter.

You will drop down quickly if you are focused as a slayer (so probably its the same for choppa) even with tons of defensive stats stacked, so why not go balls deep with dps and enjoy 50% dmg from all attacks :D

I've never seen the point in worrying about defensive stuff for a slayer/choppa.

Always felt with glass cannons it's best to embrace the damage output and take the vulnerability. Sure you need a rez more often but thats less of a problem in a premade/wb.

The point is to use your head, dont charge into the rdps firing squad, hold back, let the tanks break the line then go for the charge.

Holding back till the right moment also means you are in position to frag WE/WH sneaking in to hit healers.

Ok you go red you do 50% more dmg on normal abilitys. But if you are red and use one of the exaustive abilitys that remove ur rage they do 75%. Wot rules is not good atm i dont recommend it.

No, Exhaustive Blows deal 75% damage while Furious (25-74 Rage) and 50% while Berserk (75-100 Rage).

The Tactic that allows you to not spend rage (meaning you will pretty much always be at 100 Rage Berserk) makes you deal less damage on Exhaustive Blows (compared to using them in Furious), more damage on Standard Abilities and auto-attacks (compared to using them in Furious or Un-raged), but reduces Armor and Resists by 50%.

If Armor/Resists are linear, and I don't know/think that they are, if you are capped (75% armor and 45% resists) you will take 37.5% more physical damage (from armor reduction) and 22.5% more magic damage (from resist reduction). For 1v1 situations or enemies are not attacking you, Berserk is beneficial. For any situation in which you are being attacked by more than one enemy, Berserk is not worth the trade-off.

Edit: If you are NOT capped, which many Choppas won't be, the armor and resist reduction is actually less effective. If you only have 40% Physical Reduction from Armor, and 25% Resists, you will only take 20% more physical and 12.5% more magical - making it more worth it. This is why some Choppas go entirely glass-cannon and stay in Berserk, because their already-minor defenses getting cut in half doesn't matter as much, and they are multiplying their pure-STR/WS build by 50% at all times. With very small defenses, the Berserk debuff might make you only take 10-20% more damage, at the benefit of always dealing 50% more. You'll still die very, very fast, but you'll also kill things really fast.

It has its place, and its really cool that there are two different playstyles. Skillfully floating between 25-74 to maximize burst on Exhaustives at the cost of 25% extra damage output on Standard Abilities and Auto Attacks, while maintaining standard defenses is one playstyle. The other is tactic-based full Berserk mode, which makes you full glass cannon with better sustained outgoing damage, but less burst from Exhaustive Blows. The Berserk tactic synergizes well with a few others though, though not all are too viable (such as Berserk reduces cooldowns by 5s, Heal per 4 while Berserk, etc.).

Both playstyles are viable, and even good. If you can find a Guard/Healer to group with, personally I believe Berserk build will have more damage output, because you're not dead as much. If you're 1v2'ing often, Furious is where you want to be.

it's 75% because finisher give 75% instead 50% (it's write on it)

basically those 2 tactisc =75% more dmg (cuz finisher spam) for 50% less armor /resistences.

anyway you can still rage drop with flee. if in need in that build.

Its 50% while Berserk. The skills state that its 75% while Furious, but that doesn't include Berserk. So staying at 100 Rage will increase your damage by 50% for 50% less Armor/Resists, and your Exhaustive Blows will only deal 50% instead of 75%.

...how are so many people getting the mechanic wrong? They only give 75% damage while in Furious. They gain 50%, like all other abilties, while in Berserk. They dont gain 25% and then an additional 50 while berserk, like tesq implies above. Unless its bugged.

Its not bugged. I tested it on Tuesday. Exhausting Blows deal less damage while in Berserk than in Furious.

So everything is working as intended. People just need to read the text.
