Yesterday I got my Slayer to R35RR39 and full merc. Now and only now, he actualy looks cool with decent pants and a pair of boots instead of passive aggressive, grandpa sandals.
My R16 Chosen looks totaly badass in a nurgle inspired green using the T1 hunters set appearence.
This, I have noticed, is common with most classes. Dessie look badass from the start while most ordee toons do not look decent till T4 gear.
Now people are fickle creatures, I can not help feeling that if classes on order looked more badass from T1 that we'd see a more even distribution of classes.

Re: The problem of appearence
Can you post a pic of your Nurgle inspired T1 Chosen in Hunters-Set please?!
Never got a chance to actually see what these Sets look like...
Edit: I definitely favor Destru style over all but Order has WH, WP, SL and IB which are pretty stylish looking, and then there are High Elves... Well they are just HEs xD SW is probably the most decent looking HE class ^^ ofc when it comes to looks it's all personal opinion.
As you can see in my signature below some ppl choose their classes by style xD and I am one of them

Re: The problem of appearence
Meh, its a matter of taste. Chosen look awesome, yes, but I hate the shirtless Arnie clone look of Marauder. Orc classes look cool if you like orcs, but orcs are the worst so I dont.
I love the quasi-Renaissance look of the Empire classes, and I think Knight looks awesome for the realistic 15th/16th century plate armor it wears. Witch Hunter is the best looking mdps in the game IMO.
I have been a huge fan of Dwarfs since I first got involved in the Warhammer hobby, and I think Ironbreaker is the best looking Order tank period, and Slayers are one of the most iconic Warhammer images ever but they do kinda look the same in t1 as they do in t4. But some people think they look like hairy manbabies so meh. No accounting for taste.
High Elves legit look like garbage though, only cool piece of armor any of them get is the Imperator helm for WL, which looks like an Exarch helm from 40k. Black Guards look cool but DoKs are basically the same forever, purple bondage dress from t1 to t4. Sorcs and witch elves are half naked women, which is cool but again, same from t1 to t4.
Chaos is the most stereotypically cool looking faction from standard video game perspective, and to be fair, Mythic nailed the art design. So they are bound to be more popular. But I think Empire and Dwarfs look awesome in their own particular way that you cannot find in other mmos. You can go into WoW and make a Death Knight that kinda looks like a Chosen (albeit a G rated candyland version of it) but you cant make something that looks like a Knight or an Ironbreaker.
For all their flaws, I think Mythic did am excellent job with the art in general for this game, from armor all the way up to zones.

Re: The problem of appearence
When mythic was designing the game they made order extreamly op so inorder to balance them they gave the faction underwhelming looking armor sets
The clearest example of this is with all the op high elf classes with lame looking sets that still look their in T1 when their in T4
