naaa just dont extremism things like live and reward ppl fine for help each other (not zerg, just help eahc other)

if 2 ppl kileld 1 both get half renown not dps get 95% and healer get 5% for exemple

One of the main issues might be that there are so many lowbies in T4 that are below 40, who always drop max 20 renown, if not less. If you leave them unattended, bunch of them will kill you, at worst a very strong bolstered lowbie dps rips you apart and has insanely good stats in 1v1, yet when they win against you it might a 1000 renown reward, but you manage to defeat them its a 20 renown reward because rank difference.
Then portions of that 20 renown reward are given to party healers, and even less to out of party healers.

Obviously its good to have more enemies to fight, including both high RR people and lowbies, but the eternal flow of 20 renown is somewhat tiresome. It's frustrating from dps pov, and has to be even more frustrating from healer pov who get to feed on whatever the dps manage to harvest.

It really begins to feel that its just easier to do SCs to get 500-1000 ticks every 10-15 mins, then roam lakes and get 20 from there and 20 from over there and so on, with lucky BO ticks sometimes sweetening it.

I think the issue is that on a dps i see the occasional tick that is above 20 from an equal or higher kill, on a healer you still end up with a 20 renown assist tick as you don't seem to get a "share" of the kill renown.

Look, if I am on a healer ...healing and I keep someone alive while they kill 4 people. My renown should not be < 100 while they get 1500 - 8000+ total (depending on renown rank, the range can be huge across 4 kills).

It is very clearly broken. Granted the live system was broken in hell in scenarios, but that has already been resolved here by splitting out the renown equally (well you know what i mean) for everyone. In open world, it is drastically broken and on the opposite far end spectrum of where it was live.

Your only recourse on a healer if you want to progress is to do damage ungrouped and not waste any time healing anyone -OR- be in the perfect optimal group make up in a public warband / guild group. Even then, you have to completely rely on the performance of someone else rather than yourself and you STILL get less reward for it than they do.

Broken.

Maybe healers should use a few of those damaging abilities that take up half of their kit. It's almost like there's some intention there for them to do the occasional damage dealing in bigger fights.
Spoiler:

Some get a DPS log of how much you overheal during an extended RvR fight, that's where your wasted renown is going. You could have been tagging people with dots... such a shame...

In recent memory I can't remember a single instance where I had time to put out damaging abilities during a fight on my RP. The best healers are the ones consistently rolling hots on their group (and other groups in their wb, potentially) and leaving only minimal moments for utility abilities (like spending a GCD on glowy hands+stagger on an enemy healer that gets disrupted 75% of the time). The only time I'm dealing damage is at the end of a fight when I'm trying to secure deathblows with rune of fire. Even then, you're still getting 20 renown for assists most of the time.

And you wonder why we get so many 'do the devs even play X' posts....

I think (vainly hope..!) that this was supposed to be a flippant response to some (legitimate) concerns/complaints, call it what you will, but wow has it missed the mark. If this is supposed to be a serious indicator of how the dev team think healers should be playing then you guys have got some serious, serious reworking of healers AP costs and heal values ahead of you...!

Ya'll wanna play pure healers, have at it. I'm just saying, they're not pure healers, that's just how people play them.

Now I've gone back and read through this entire thread a second time. It seems to me healers aren't getting rewards solo, and that bothers them. But dps classes get renown solo, and that bothers them too. They also don't get renown for solo healing the solo dps. Solo dps classes don't want to group because they'd have to split the renown. What to do?

1. We don't really care about solo play.
2. Let the DPS die, take advantage of the situation with your own abilities to finish off the weak git.
3. Send the DPS a tell, I'd heal you if we were grouped ~~~ <3
4. Group up, and profit!

There's been a lot of talk about getting 20RP ticks, but do you know where those ticks were from? Are you inspecting your logs? Are they actually from kills, are they from assisting, or are they from 'killed too recently' players that would give 20RP anyway?

We can't force you to play in a group. We don't have to reward you for playing solo, which is largely what healers tend to do when they can free-leech on out-of-group players. If anything, I could see making an adjustment to make sure you're properly being rewarded for being in a warband, but that's pretty dubious based on the conversation that's gone on so far.
