Yeah
But the release of the red eye set the devs said that they will be making sure to put in an AA haste cap so we can't do stuff like red eye bonus + oath stones bonus + red frenzy bonus

With 80% haste (SL tactic, oath, conqshoulders , overlord w/e head) I am sitting at 1.3s AA, even with Redeye which allows you to hit 100% hsste, you couldn't drop below 1.2s AA - unless you run a subpar epic quest mainhand, and even then you can't get below 1.1s, iirc.
The issue isn't with Slayers, nor is it a widespread issue given that most classes depend on the (unified) +2,4s weapons.
The biggest issue in regards to haste you'll find with WE (since the finisher got changed)/DoK - 1.5s (epic quest dagger, WE) to 1.8s speeds, which can be reduced to sub-second speeds. In the WE's case running the subpar 1.5s dagger can turn out quite effective longterm.
Now, on their own these classes would be very close to overstepping the limits on paper, however mdps DoKs are largely negible, especially since the introduction of proc ICDs - WE's gimp their burst with a haste approach, which is quite contraproductive for their archetype, especially in (solo)roam.
Yet, with Blorc/CH - whoever has access to it nowadays w/e - haste buff, you are looking at 0.4-0.7s AAs...
I'd suggest to unify weaponspeeds - as is already the case with scenario weapons etc -, and limiting haste sources from here on onwards, rather than capping haste ~ 70-100% haste on +2.4s weapons is okay-ish, if AA speed drops below the gcd things get messy however.
