Leveling question?

On a serious note, is it worth just ignoring the PvE and leveling on SCs and RvR?

Leveling off of champs is viable, or if you want a particular pve set you can always PQ. However now it seems like soloing PQ's for gear is cancer, so you'd want friends to up the bag rolls. The other way to make pve tolerable is leveling a gathering craft and chain pull. PvP gear is so easy and PvP is so fun leveling up that I'd stick with that if you can. If you want to grind out a few levels here or there ask in /advice for level appropriate champ camps.

It all depend on what you want from your leveling experience ^^'

Want to level as fast as possible? go grind you can hit max level under 24 hour of play time (even less if you actualy do it as duo healer+AoE dps), but know that you will have a really low RR at that point... not really a big problem per se since you can grind on PQ and you can start getting ruin shard from t4 pq once you hit lvl 28, unless your class ruin is non what you'r looking for in a set... if so it will be a pain until you get your RR back to 36-39 to equip annihi/merc.

Want to be rr 40+ by the time you hit lvl 40? go ORvR (you can mix some SC in there when ORvR is in a low phase or when you realm is taking too much of a beating), but you should expect it to take quite longer to hit max lvl, still once your done you will already have all the reknown and token necessary to get you anni/merc gear... if you'r actualy lucky you may even go stright for conqueror ^^'.

Want to lvl at a good speed while keeping a decent RR? mix grinding and SC or grinding and ORvR... i suggest the first option since it is easier to mix SC with other activity while ORvR require you to dedicate some extended timeframe to hit to actualy pay back. This is actualy a bit harder for healers since they need ORvR gear rather than SC gear... but pq gear is generally a decent healing gear so they can sub with it.

Want to mix a bit of things up but be sure to be "performing" whatever you do? than look up the ORvR and SC set and see where you need to go to get the set aimed for what you want to play as and just give it priority untile you get what you need.

Want to enjoy your leveling experience? than choose what you actualy like..
Quest are not bad if you'r a lore lover,
ORvR is really fun if you like large group fighting and even more if you actualy can find a group/guild to roll with... wich is easier now thx to the merged t2-t4 ORvR...
SC are the go to if you love fight with balanced numbers... but there is no guarantee that you will get a balanced amount of healer/dps/tank so bear with it...

hope this help ^^

you gain your first mastery point at levell 11 between 11 and 20 you can a mastery point every other level after level 21 you gain a mastery point every level. So at level 11 you've only barely scratched the surface of the levelling system.

PVE can be viable i usually find a PQ that i want the reqards from if i find that i'm having a bad nigth getting zergged down and just PVE in that PQ and gain levels that way.

Aye, just realised I had to go back to the old trainers. For some reason, since you don't have to buy skills anymore I thought there was somewhere else to go to train masteries.

There is the add on anywhere trainer which will let you train masteries without having to find trainers.

I normally level up in PVE till 7 and don't leave the lakes, except for a scenario evening here and there while jumping around in IC, afterwards.

On my WE I did find level 14 -> level 16 a bit slowish in T1, both xp and rr from scenarios and oRvR. I although chickened her out in the pointy ears lake but I could understand someone wanting to PVE grind out those 2 levels.

You can PVE level solo easily. It will take many hours of mindlessly killing mobs and finding nice farming spots for mobs. But I estimate that hardcore levelling at maybe 8 hours a day. Would take about 4-5 days of pve grinding. Champs are better than normal mobs but they can be difficult to kill at a high rate if you're not a WP. When levelling you have to decide which is better. For me I found killing mobs the same level as myself is the best thing to do. Then stay in that area till the majority of them become effortless and then find a new area to grind xp.
