Re: WL Pull - Min Distance?
Well if you have been knocked down by the White Lion, his pet is already on you and so it is instant at that point. Like I said, mostly a solo issue since killing the pet isnt that hard in group play.

Re: WL Pull - Min Distance?
This. Pulls are clearly not working as they were intended on live. Are they intended to work like this on RoR? Would need confirmation from devs. Assuming they are not, then this is a bug that should be fixed.Druin wrote:Well diference is that you can't use abilities while being "punted" here, on live you could. It is also a different kind of immunity, which means you can pull and kockdown and results in being disabled for about 6sec.

Oh, it's being used with success in both instances even if you can't remember it.peterthepan3 wrote:But in what context is that overperforming, when both sides have access to it? Are we talking about solo encounters, or competent group play in which it is a nonissue (and most of the time ends up giving away immunities recklessly)? I can't recall an instance where someone was killed during a WL pull being used as a means of hard CC (mostly because the pet is dead before then, at least vs good players).Zealote wrote:It might not be so bad if it was like BO's Right in Da Jibblies 'punt'/interrupt (does that work here?) but it isn't; as others have said it's more like a hard disable. And WLs can already get an interrupt anyway.peterthepan3 wrote:Working as intended. In good hands, it can be used as an interrupt = variety in ways it can be used as opposed to simply being a scorpion GET OVER HERE! gimmick.
Also bear in mind that if someone uses it as such, they are giving them a nice 30 sec immunity to punts and ChCh.

I don't realy follow the logic here.Penril wrote:This. Pulls are clearly not working as they were intended on live. Are they intended to work like this on RoR? This is not live, the balance forum topics cover changes that are deviations from live. The gear stats are different, there is a thread about BW/Soc mechanisime ...
I think the question should be how should the "skill" work , should there be a min distance.
To me with pounce and pull being effective cc then there should be a min distance with pull as it is such a hard cc.

If you are gonna pull the BDF on me, you should read the rules first. Specifically, this one:Acidic wrote:

"Our strategy for making changes in T4 is as follows:
1 - Ensure that classes are performing as they did on live. This is the fundamental requirement to begin fine balance changes which affect specs commonly used on live, as opposed to ones that buff underpowered specs. We must ensure that no bugs exist in a class and that its mechanics, abilities, tactics and morales function as they did on live, existing balance changes notwithstanding. Please note that this includes bugs that existed on live. Issues such as Piercing Bite will be fixed in this step".
So basically, before discussing how the skill "should" work, we must make certain it is working as it did on live. Pulls are not, atm.

Re: WL Pull - Min Distance?
Where is proof they are not working as intended? I am curious, as I cant remember how it worked on live (didnt know any white lions).

Re: WL Pull - Min Distance?
I just find it very funny that WL's are complaining they can't have 6 seconds of easy-mode CC while they use arguably the 2nd/3rd best possible burst in the entire game....
Why not admit that this is clearly overpowered, most likely not working as it did on live, and just let the game progress? You will still be able to pounce and pull people and gank people like you love doing.
But what I don't get is why people actually think having a 0 minimum pull distance followed by a KD is not immensely overpowered/broken? Like.... seriously though where is your logic?

Re: WL Pull - Min Distance?
I think its probably a bit too powerful but I have been playing mostly solo recently so I cant contribute to group discussion. So maybe in group play it is worse/easier to counter? I dunno. Hard to determine on forums because so many people have vested interest in either buffing or nerfing something and some players might be tempted to lie in order to preserve (or destroy) something they like (or hate).
If the first criterion for deciding whether it gets changed is determining how it worked on live, then we should start there.
