Way to get Xp,RR, as healer in Rvr

Its pretty simple as rdps. But as healer how do you get xx,rr from assisting other people?
It seems a lot more difficult. The person you are healing must have been damage by whomever they are assisting for you to receive credit? I assisted many people(with heals), while they seem to be assisting others and have gotten no contribution.

Without being in a warband/party. What is the simplest way to get contribution for kills? Just HoT up everyone in range and hope someone lands a db/kill assist?

Why wouldn't you be in a party/WB if there's some action going around?
My main is a tank, but my alt is a healer. I get a lot of RP just by healing people in SCs and Open RvR.

Well yes.
If you have killed someone recently you are filled up with some kind of renown depot. If you then loose health and are healed you give of that depot renown to the healer.

So you don't need to be damaged by an enemy and then kill that enemy, and only then you give renown to the healer.

Although that renown depot is not that big, and it doesn't hold the renown for long.

So if the guys that you heal kill and don't get damaged you will not get renown from that depot.

But I see that rarely in rvr.

For a solo healer in rvr, you just need to keep healing toons in the fight. If the toons you are healing contribute damage to kills, you will get renown and experience but it seems you do not get zone influence. You have to be in a warband or party to get influence from healing.

As others have pointed out, if the toon you are casting heals on takes no damage, you are not actually healing them, so I guess you do not get experience or renown from their kills.

And for those who are asking why a healer is not in a warband while in rvr, I can assure you that most warbands are very boring to be in for open rvr. They tend to be either zerging or sedentary, and neither of those things are fun or interesting. If you are confident in your ability and unafraid of running solo, its a lot more fun to continually roam the map looking for the most interesting fights then it is to stick with a warband.
