Make it aoe and we have a deal :D

Morals are somewhat fine as they are, too many variables in the whole system to fix in one sweeping change - I'd rather see minor tweaks to it. Some morals need to be reworked into something useful, like Guard of Steel SM M1 just as an example, but I guess most of this would require client control.

I think instead I'd prefer all morales be moved to utility based. Focused Mind is a great morale, in my opinion. It gives you defensive capability by giving immunity, plus it allows you utility to do with what you wish. The knight m3 root is another great example.

Could just make morales that provide damage reduction, like Immaculate Defense or Wind-woven Shell, also reduce morale damage.

Morale's and how they interact with each other is literally the endgame content of this game. There used to be extremely difficult to deal with defensive morale's in this game which I feel should make a comeback from a balance perspective. Defensive morale's like cycle'd mountain spirit for 100% upkeep, cycled Group absorb Gromril plating for 66% or 100% upkeep, cycle'd 1001 dark blessings for 100% upkeep, cycled sprout carapace back when sprout carapace was a morale 3 on the chosen for 100% upkeep, cycled Armored plating for 33% or 66% or 100% upkeep, Cycled wind woven shell for 33% or 66% or 100% upkeep.

There are hard checks and balances built in the game structure. If you don't have a plan on how to counter a group that is built around a defensive morale cycle then your group comp is weak against it and it is a failure of your group comp not of the game design.

It is completely OK to have group comps weak against other group comps. That is part of the hard checks and balances that this game provides. Mythic started changing stuff before the community started to learn how to counter defensive morale cycle's and you do it by either making a rush single target group comp to kill targets before the defensive morale cycle starts or basing it on single target morale damage which could be a combination of single target morale damage combined with AoE morale damage. Instead the community asked to remove these defensive morale cycle's and Mythic did because it was losing a ton of subscriber's at the time. I think it was a pretty big mistake removing these defensive morale cycle's.

Morale bombs are justified due to the extreme high defensive morale cycle's that were available in the game at one time which some still exist. They were also justified due to the gear value's of sov and above. It is also a skill/gear check. Meaning even a lowbie player that is willing to participate in organization/coordination can compete against a sov gear/RR 80 player as long as they are willing to participate in organization and coordination. Gear value's don't really matter that much in a morale bomb meta. Organization/coordination is what matter's which is what you want in a pvp game. Combat is just suppose to be faster then what the community thinks. Banner's are suppose to be used in all forms of fighting to include SC's to reach high morale gain rates.

With this said, I think RD is a dumpster fire problem for this game and should be removed. I'd rather see a specific change to Raze first then to start removing damaging morale's across the board. These damaging morale's are not placed randomly. It is part of the overall core balance of the game.

Tl; dr: he wants better defensive morales and the removal of Resolute Defense. Surprisingly, little mention of morale gain rates or racial groups.

(yes i know its a shitpost)

Can't talk for everyone else but in my case it pretty much comes down to knowing what you are gonna post (you have posted the exact same things for a few years). Something about the game originally meant to be played in racial groups, big warbands, and morales being the deciding factor and epitome of skill. And I disagree 100% with all of that, so i'd rather save myself some time and just ask for the tl;dr version.

If this was not the case, you have my apologies.
