I think this is putting words in my mouth. I never said "swapping DP" is something only elitists do.

Beside having the worst class mechanic of the game (with IB), you will need to do a lot of things before actual DPS (buff/debuff, hate managing).
For the same period of time, a SM would be able to throw 2 ether dance.

So it seems it was clear (maybe not) that I was referencing hate building, not DP swapping.

That the other 4 tanks dont have these issues.
KOBS/Chosen get to use any rotation at any time. Zero "mechanical" maneuvering. You want to super punt, do it if off CD. You can do anything at any time.

As an SM/BO this evolves slightly. You can do anything in a matter of 2-3 GCDs. For a 6 GCD rotation you can do 2 "perfect stance" abilities.

As a BG/IB, HALF (3 GCDs) are spent just using EB. Even with DP + EB you wont be at 100 mechanic. Youll be at maybe HALF and then can use scalers (at less than 100% effectiveness).

BG/IB easily have the worst mechanic in the game, it takes the longest build up, it has the least amount of "rotational options" because the scalers and spenders are "mutually exclusive" in a sense. If you use CD at 80+ hate, your scalers wont be max effective, so you are the MOST limited.

And yes, there is an overwhelming attitude by the majority of people on the forums that "you are doing it wrong" is thrown out on almost any page on nearly any thread. Someone cant write any opinions without another person ASSUMING that person is a noob who needs to L2P.

This is what I am talking about as the "elitist attitude" and its rampant in this community. Its why I stopped posting on the forums, and frankly this thread exemplifies the negative attitude of the player base towards eachother.

That's because the majority of complaints and/or issues that are presented on the forums are of a L2P disposition, and have been for several years: WL is OP, Magus bolt is too op, nerf SM damage, i cant win any scenarios coz we have 0 healers (make a group?), etcetcetc.

The usage of DP has a direct relation to hate mechanic as it is vital to swap DP to keep hate up, e.g. 80-100 hate.
Hate gain can only be considered slow, when nobody attacks your groupmates but then there is no pressure for your team or too weak opposition that 100% efficiency is hardly required.
The moment your enemy fights back, you can easily maintain and gain 90+ hate within few gcds.

Absolutely nothing. It's slightly better with the bubble buff, but sm bubble is even better, so yea.

BG is fun to play once you get used to the mechanic as a 2h dps tank.
