I feel that str is more important for ST?Asherdoom wrote:question: isn't WS more beneficial then stacking strength/crit? with all armor socketing around we must avoid being mitigated as much as possible no? useless having high crib chance if ur crib gets halved by enemy armor no? (in theory at least!)
i wish to go WS>wounds>strength in this order to increase mi effectiveness. what you think about it?

Re: [question] Chopa and life in this server
Midtree tactic changes definitely look like a step in a right direction - balancing risk vs reward. Haven't tried it yet though as I'm not sure what can I drop to slot it. It also means that with my current rr I'll only be able to pick midtree crit tactic and lifetap from left tree which is kinda limited. Not even considering dropping the self heal as it feels essential nowadays.
As for WS stacking. I got my str with a pot up to 900 and slotted WS almost everywhere to reach ~45% armor pen (around 635 WS). I went out roaming and my combat log usually looked like this. This is a fight vs a rune priest, pretty frustrating.
Speaking of buffs, a flat armor pen bonus addition for furious/zerking state would be nice (if no one is going to do anything with current armor stacking that is).
I'd rather see some survivability tweaks though. I see the main problem in the amount of effort required to keep a choppa running, if the mainteneance was lower we'd probably settle with a lot of current things.

Runepriest can be one of the toughest order healers, depending on how much armor they're running in their build and if they've got their detaunt and/or 50% dmg oh **** button up.
Agreed on the WS... Get your main stat to 900+ and then focus WS the rest of the way. Don't put any rr into stats unless they're points you have left over.

It's not about RPs, just an example of what I see in my combat log on average.
The point is that WS stacking is a big investment that inevitably gimps something else yet the return isn't that good.

Can team up with BG, BO, Marauder.Asherdoom wrote:okok i got it so we forced to go ful strenght and hope someone put armor debuff for us right? (asking)
Those all can grant an armor debuff.
I don't see choppa in a that bad spot.
Issues are more:
-Needs support from grp than it can shine (guard, target peel, cc, snare)
-Many ppl are playing choppa, from my feeling it's destros #1 popular melee class, so hard to find a spot (tied with WE perhabs)
So basically the stars need to align so that you can play it with maximal efficiency.

Can't Stop Da Chop used to be an armor debuff ages ago, I actually liked it that way. Changed to mirror slayer healing debuff at some point.Asherdoom wrote:okok i got it so we forced to go ful strenght and hope someone put armor debuff for us right? (asking)

Unfortunate if choppa didn't have inc hd I don't think their would be a reason to use Choppa everflatfoot1987 wrote:Can't Stop Da Chop used to be an armor debuff ages ago, I actually liked it that way. Re: [question] Chopa and life in this server
There's a ton of other inc hds nowadays. I've heard marauders in 6 mans don't even slot the 50% debuff tactic because there's usually someone else to do that job.TenTonHammer wrote:Unfortunate if choppa didn't have inc hd I don't think their would be a reason to use Choppa everflatfoot1987 wrote:Can't Stop Da Chop used to be an armor debuff ages ago, I actually liked it that way.
