Just wondering, is his account messed up for good or just until a server reset?

Not sure! I would need his account name to check. Sometimes it's obvious, usually it's not.

I wanted to add that he made another account and we decided to test if he named himself the character that broke his account ("Ehres") and it ended up breaking that account. I had a side account I decided to try too and it broke that as well. It looks as if its tied to the character not the account.

I'm not sure if you knew that, we're just trying to help!

It's deleted on the live DB, so I would suspect the client has some things cached that is messing it up. On live server it looks like multiple bad characters exist, but there's no real way to get rid of them as our commands affect the database. Since the DB is reloaded when the server starts up, waiting for a reboot seems to be the answer, maybe.

Could try clearing out the character folders, delete the broken toon if possible (not sure how far into loading you get), and wait to recreate that character name until sometime next week.

My friend has the same problem she tried to delete the char folders but didnt help. She cant delete the broken char because the game crash before the log in. Guess we have to wait untill a server restart

I have just downloaded the game and i get to the main menu but am unable to start playing what do i do

So my friend's account was for sure broken, he even tried logging on from a separate laptop with a fresh install of RoR.

The server has since restarted and he is able to log in again!

i have a same problem just tomorrow..login complete but cant enter on character and still cant enter.

I'm new myself to return of reckoning and am having this problem myself. Is there a set day of the week the server gets a reboot?
