Why was block rating nerfed so hard on this server?

I'm just asking because a shield with a block rating 357 is supposed to give 20.3% chance to block. Hell on live my IB at this level of gear was running around with 50% block pretty easy. So why hit block so hard?

How much block do you get when you do .getstats?

I dont understand it much too. I was told, that block rating can be completely negated by enemy player mainstat if its nearly to maxed. Only what gives you block against players is +X% block on your gear and "Defender" renown passive which also gives you +X% to block.

Oh! Thanks for the response Torque! It was really bumming me out seeing my shield only gave me like 3-4% block chance.
