Well identical to target a magus on a deamon.Luuca wrote:my ONLY Gripe on engies is when they stand INSIDE their turret. It's **** retarded to try and target them. Should not be allowed.

Back in live when you summoned your Turret it appeared some feet in front of you.
I can only guess that there is no code to let it be in RoR too.

I prefer my magus over my engineer cause destro is really good at stacking armor talismans,
talking about the single target specs.

It's not like dwarfs (and especailly engi) can reach the highest armor values in the gamegeezereur wrote:I prefer my magus over my engineer cause destro is really good at stacking armor talismans,

If you are willing to give up a tactic slot, and all your tali slots.Panzerkasper wrote:It's not like dwarfs (and especailly engi) can reach the highest armor values in the gamegeezereur wrote:I prefer my magus over my engineer cause destro is really good at stacking armor talismans,

And as any magus / engi player knows, you dont have tactic slots to give up.
Personally I think armor stacking is just not functional. It is worthless against the swarms of WE / Mara that overpopulated destro side right now.
Overall for dps magus has it better with magical damage, and not having to deal with the silly 75% detaunt tactics from SH / Shaman up on you all the time.
Also it is not like magus gets shafted on tactics and suriviability. I'd trade keg for aegis in a heartbeat since it is spike that kills you.

And Destro gets armor for free and has not to give up gear slots for it or what?Karast wrote:If you are willing to give up a tactic slot, and all your tali slots.Panzerkasper wrote:It's not like dwarfs (and especailly engi) can reach the highest armor values in the gamegeezereur wrote:I prefer my magus over my engineer cause destro is really good at stacking armor talismans,

Tactic is another thing, as engi i might not get it, maybe if i play some close range bomber, no idea tbh I never played an engi. But as Slayer or RP i would definitly consider it.
More armor is the best defense you can get against a Mara AND, believe it or not, even a WE. WE has just 1 attack wich ignores armor and only that from behind. A WE in PA spec pull a lot of her dmg from AAs and finishers and the add damage of Failbrew is corp.
Healers (the crucial targets) are way harder to damage with Magic since they naturally build up more willpower through their gear and thus have most likely the highest disrupt values of all the 4 class types.

You have got a way to rosy outlook on the armor tactic.Panzerkasper wrote:

On IB you don't need it, on RP you don't have the freedom of choice to run it without gutting something else, and the same goes for slayer most of the time. I play all 4 dwarf toons. A lot of people like to pick and choose and go googly eyed theory crafting about tactics, and point to limited situation examples to claim they are the bees knees, when they are not.
Also you can be 3300 and it does jack all against a Mara with the ignore tactic + armor debuff. You are better off going for avoidance. When it comes to WE, it works from any direction they want when using a NB spam rotation or the armor ignore elixir, or pierce armor, or feinted positioning to allow for AW from any direction. Without talking about witchbrew spec's.
Also willpower disrupt is countered by int. Just as WS parry is countered by str, and dodge by bs. Unless you are a healer trying to dps another healer with 200 int, you only need to worry about the disrupt on gear + renown + htl.
I really suggest you play order, and try stacking armor against destro mara / we's melee trains, because it's a joke. It helps you with SH's, BO's, choppas, and some dps tanks, but it is all but useless against WE / Mara which is why there are 3 of each for every choppa destro side right now.

Your daemon is also taller than a turret lad?
And somehow when I click on that magus and pink clump I get allways first the pink thing.
And I think this is the first time the dwarfs height is called as their advantage. Wasn't the models and collision changed early live so that orcs couldn't jump over dwarf tanks?
