RoR port to VPN Work?

Hello!

My English is rusty.

At various times my game has been suffering with an annoying Lag and Ping unwanted. Following some indications I come to days, months to find some VPN for games that help me.
The problem is that in all cases these programs do not work in RoR and all the Devs of these programs tell me the same thing:
The RoR server does not have a port that responds to the VPN connection.

So I would like to know if there is any specific port that can be used for a VPN program to work.

I've heard some VPN services don't support private servers. maybe you're using one of them. there are other free VPN.
sometimes it works, reduces lag. sometimes it made worse, freeze screen.
