Question about same faction duels. (Commands and options.)

Hello, I have heard that you can make duels for 2v2, 3v3 etc, even unbalanced teams like 2vX.
I'm not even sure what the limitations are. I have a lot of questions regarding this. Could anyone please explain in this thread the commands and how you duel with more people.


I think there'd be hopefully some more fun displays in altdorf from this. A lot of people are just plain duelling 1v1 in altdorf all the time, would be cool to spice it a bit.

First I'll state what I DO know. Both players need to be flagged for RvR to accept/challenge to duels, the commands are
/rvr to flag urself
then
/duel playername
to challenge, then the challenged player writes
/duelaccept
Then duel starts in 5 seconds, this is as far as my knowledge goes on the subject. Would love to know more.

I've seen more ppl duel together but it was a bug then or possibly a GM involved. IDK.

I also recall someone talking about how you could "even" have group duels, but he didn't elaborate and I didn't ask, was enjoying the show, hehe. It might have been a GM. I'll let the thread stay a bit just incase : )

Iirc you were able to chain-request duels and start them up at once for some time - might been just me derping out and interpreting the visuals wrong, however. Its fair to say something like that wasn't really intended, regardless.

I do, too, think something like that would be a fun little addition, especially in regards to testing grouprelated mechanics and such, as similar tests with the other faction might be considered killtrading by people that stumble upon these tests.

Then again, /duel allows for abuse - going around skipping terrain via /duel + superpunt is not necessarily feasible, but still possible.
I don't, however, know whether /duel is actually restricted to PvE areas, but there are spots in PvE areas - if memory from live serves - that could be exploited that way. If we had a RvR System based on flags it'd prolly be not only an unfeasible nuisance but an actual problem.

TLDR: Revisiting the /duel mechanic is definitely worth it, imo.
