Best gear/gold farming class?

With heroes I believe stacking up parry and armor is what you want. The WP heal cov has no icd which helps a lot, DoK's could really only solo high level heroes because of their heal cov proccing on AA's and DE, but WP's can still use it although I don't think heroes are what you want to "farm" at all. Any champs over level 27 yield purple frags that you can make +21's and 22's if you crit. WP is hands down the easiest in my book but I really enjoyed it and actually farmed it to max level before I even did PVP mostly because it was a tali farmer. Engi's work as well and I'm not entirely sure which is better overall.

Champs are all about single target with a smidge of AOE. You just pull two, burn em down and move on. If you want AOE farming that is a bit different since WP only have 2 AOE's really, DoK's have DE and even if it is a 4 target cap it helps a LOT for PVE. But WP/DoK PVE doesn't require much gear at all, I can't speak for the engi side of things though.

I already stacked parry, it doesn't help, because it only takes a few hits to die. Those impressive parry chains you see, when tanking a dozen normal mobs doesn't happen.

Terribly slow kills/minute on the KOTBS, surely? But slightly better resilience.

Nah, just stand still with OYG/AAO/SF auras, and rotate Arcing Swing, Crippeling Blow and Sheild of the Sun with tactics.

Ok so I am debating between Engi, WP, or KOTBS.

Between those 3 which will be able to farm gear for my other toons the most efficiently for a newer player with ZERO gold and gear of his own.

I don't want a toon that can do everything with just 2 buttons, but I don't want anything overly complex. I was afraid the WP would be too involved with the complexity of his rotation. I have no idea what the KOTBS is like. The Engi seemed maybe more basic but also probably more limited to single targets at a time which is ok if he can move through them fast.

Any tips?

Engi is pretty linear if you're just farming. I also felt a little intimidated by the complexity of the WP when I rolled one. You can also farm lots of mobs quickly with flame turret and aoe tree.

Okay, this is how you can farm mobs on your WP.

1. Click Prayer
2. Click self so you are defensive target
3. Wounds buff if you are Grace
4. Soulfire is an AOE DoT - use it first, also builds up some mechanic and if you are DPS spec I believe your finisher moves makes it a faster cast or something along those lines.
5. Use your str buff in combat and just keep it up all the time refreshing every 20 seconds (think its 20)
6. Use your parry buff (keep this up as well the majority of the time if you need it) Otherwise use your dot if you'd like
7. Hit your life tap between channels to build up mechanic
8. Use your channel

You will be hitting like 4-5 buttons, have your channel heal as your OSH*T button, use your little AOE (essence lash on a DoK), use your soulfire, use your other dot, you can keep your str buff up and parry, but generally just always keeping str one up is very simple.

You can now farm as a melee WP. You can tinker with the tactics even though they are semi like the DoK in that over 60-70% of them are completely useless. But if you ever need help, pm me and I'll jump back on my WP and help you out.

Quick question, if I did want to RvR with the WP are they decent? Just in case I happen to fall in love with the class.

Melee WP DOK - in short - no they are not good when compared to WL/MARA

RVR - DD specs - zero mobility - kited and dies - CAN work if you are good and group is good - healers are very good - enemy is not the best

SC - DD specs - CAN work if guarded - you're good - your group isn't horrible

Generally in RVR you are 10x more beneficial on a WP if you go heals in RVR. But to answer personally, I say fk the meta and have fun.
