Solo Roaming a near impossibilty in T4
Smallscale its just not there
Gear Diversity Conq-Dom-Bl meh Invader-Warlord-Tyrant-Sovereign, all the trinkets and Glyphs
The wonderful duelling scene in Eataine that was always there when u wanted a break from the Zerg fest in T4
And ofc the action spread over more then one cramped fcng Map

1, Wrong. Every single time I feel like solo roaming, I find good fights, 1v1, 2v1, whatever. Last night for instance, bunch on both sides zerging, but plenty of 1v1 fights going on, I happen to of been embarrassed by nicelook like 3 times... Yea, you gotta zerg serf a bit, but learn the zones and you'll find fights. Doesn't mean you're gonna win em though
2, Yes it is. Same as 1. Form your group and go roaming. It's not supposed to be easy, that's what makes it fun.
3, Why would you assume inv/war/tyr/sov will be great? LotD broken stuff wont be back, ever. Why would you miss that crap... Gear diversity is better than WAR. We have a good SC set for every tier of gear, and the stats on gear by and large, actually makes sense... And they allow every class to run it's "off" spec efficiently.
4, We had a good dueling community during T3. Maybe try to start one? You can send tells to the other side in RoR, and communicate via /s.
5, Although it increased the solo/small group playerbase, it also leads to mindless zerging and PvDoor.

Y'mean, like I did? Act like a tool, and you'll get treated like one. Post your opinion, and then insult others for posting theirs, and you'll get insulted. Cry all you want about it, but you get back what you put out. I think he was insulted that I told him to go out and do something about it, instead of just sitting and whining.

another idiot response saying I havent played long when I actually say that in the very first sentence and says I whine when I JUST state things I miss, clearly ppl here on this forum dont read well.

I think you are taking it too personally. I think they are doing the same. You have to realize that this forum is plagued (in a good and bad way) - by people who are extremely passionate about this server. I don't believe their intentions are to be as toxic/forum warrior as they usually come off, nor do I believe that they try to make other people not post (but they do).

But generally they just say the first thing that comes to their mind, usually it is a "Ged Gud" "You don't have to be here" type of reply, when in reality all the people who do agree with you will most likely only reply in game as they realize that posting anything similar on the forum just isn't worth it.

In summary, don't let them get to you. There are toxic people everywhere, this place is no exception. But I do think part of it that is in fact an exception is their intent isn't quite what it seems. I think they do like this place, a LOT, they simply do a horribad job of showing it when they reply to a thread that isn't from the usual forum warrior buddies haha. I try and look at it as tough love/initiation.

If you make it passed them, you know whatever you said is generally approved of by like 99% of the server. If it doesn't make it passed them, probably only 75-80% of the server will approve of it lol.

Edit: I try and look at them as Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite. They spend the majority of their time comparing this place to live, talking about how good they were on live, gear they had on live, things they did on live when in reality... they are just washed up Uncle Ricos who don't want to possibly admit they might not be on the top of the food chain anymore (some of them are actually amazingly good at this game though - they talk the talk and walk the walk)

...the guy has responded like twice, and called people idiots both times. He came in with toxicity. You can't really warn him against it.

All the negativity in this thread spawned from this sentence I wrote:

Devs have added a lot in the past few months in regards to set diversity, not sure how you can really fault them on that.

I don't think it was that aggressive or controversial a post for people to get so riled up about. I really don't see how people are getting that I'm toxic or elitist from that.

I agree with you but I think he was really just reminiscing a bit and had no clue how people would respond. I don't think that really excuses what he did/said. Really only hoped he'd read it and maybe see why people respond the way they do so maybe he'd not respond the way he did in the future. But again you're right and I can't really think of an excuse for what he said to others. Unless there is some serious /s - never really a good idea to call anyone an idiot.
