My SSD seems to improve the loading times when swapping zones and entering scenarios.

Loading each game was significantly faster on the SSD. Transitioning maps during gameplay was also significantly faster on the SSD. Loading times were improved, and we had a better experience overall simply because game data loaded faster.

However, those load times do not translate into frames per second differences while gaming. Upgrading to the SSD has not given us a new performance profile in games, nor has it changed the performance we've shown to you in past reviews using an HDD.

I think I gained 5-10 seconds for zone loading times, that is they load faster. Otherwise the game is old and doesn't benefit much from SSD, it's gonna be laggy still as usual.

ISn't it CPU power that improves performance for large RVR scale battles, miens runs very well with all the effects turned off, i only suggest this because my GPU is quite bad.

Do you play GTA V, Total War: Warhammer, The Division, Fallout 4, Battlefield 3,4,1?
(I had loading times in Total War: Warhammer with my HDD ranging from 40 seconds up tp 150 seconds, with my SSD it's 8 - 40 seconds (no joke).

Awnser two of this with yes and you should buy one. Getting one for RoR isn't worth it, even it is acually one of the games which has shorter loading times with a SSD (**** you total war: shogun 2).
Same goes for OS installation, paying 100€ to boot in under 20 seconds isn't worth it.
Sure there is a improvement in the quality of life,... if you clean up your trash bin or open hardware manager. >.>

Same goes for Dota 2, LoL, CS:GO, GTA: Online. you don't have any profit from being the first on the server in this games. you will wait anyway for the slackers to finish there cigarette.

For RoR it doesnt seem to matter how powerful your pc is..allround. Most triple A titles run maxed out here but RoR has massive framedrops for me together with bizarre loading times - sometimes they go nearly instant, other times it takes a few minutes :)

The client is still the original 1.4.8 one from mythic and addons have a big impact on loading times and stuttering in PvP (particularly buggy ones or badly coded).
For example, the original WSCT causes lots of stuttering in mass PvP (iirc because most of the code is based on a similar WoW addon and wasn't optimized for WAR); while the experimental/fixed one from Wothor is much better: https://sites.google.com/site/effigywar/yakui
