or, you know, don't stand within 10 feet of 23 other people and you won't get shattered.

Nonsense! :D

But for Cannons. Idea is to help the sieging side to destroy oil, destroy enemy Siege and break the funnel with AoE Cannons.

Also if the enemy blobs you can hit him big with it. Only Problem is: if you are besieged you don't have Cannons or ammo.

But that is at it should be.

Nork tell me how we should stand in this battle, you just think from your 6 man point of view...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2PDm867xhU

against cannon plz... its usually the same but most times they bring more cannon, or even more flanking warbands for good measure

This is about cannon's in open field fights and also Warcamp / spawn farming / against all odds

Cannon's in siege/keep are okay / what they are built for... but like some players have said you can turn one tank, one mdps, or healer into a AOE monster in open that does more pressure than multiple people with little risk... so you are already fighting bigger numbers, and then you have a few extra AOE monsters thrown in, on top of moral bombs/numbers and GG much skill...

its hard to walk through 2-3 warbands to get someone on cannons when your numbers aint that big... so in future what is the solution just not even bother playing the game if one side is going to be cheap as can be and make RVR even more pve based?

we fight with AAO all the time... even against trash cannon zergers because we have some balls but in future I could make it more boring for everyone and make us go sc/do other stuff because thats healthy for the server right /sarcasm

open fights should be more about teamwork, co-ordinating skills between classes less about who brings the most numbers/siege weapons to a fight that's just boring

Of course you can use cannons when you have aao. But when the other side has aao and you have 5 wbs? This is not something that happens on a regular basis, but I can say with 100% certainty that this is what order started doing first, and does the most. So Don't be surprised when the other side picks up cheesy 'tactics' :)

As soon as you see the cannon stationary you either move to destroy it (they last 10 seconds tops against 2 MDPS chopping away at it) or move out of range as a priority if you're playing the "let's get as many people together spamming AOE abilities against the other side who is doing the same thing and see who has more players pressing their AOE abilities until one side dies" tactic. The order players featured in the clip put in some effort trying to backdoor you and subsequently fixing you in place with nowhere to go, not sure what happened beyond that.

Also any time you see avocetii, your priority should be to get a BG punt, KD and snare on him. The fartal warband scatters and falls apart the moment it doesnt have dadocetii holding the family together.

And finally, blowing a raze into a full health 12+ man group only to have your damage instantly healed instead of saving up for Immaculate defense is a little pointless- but hindsight 20/20 and we can't hear your voice comms.

both sides are nubz if you rely on siege weapons to win fights in open or to spawn camp warcamp

Two wrongs never make a right... its something I ain't encouraged on Destro at all

my group will go 12 vs 24 no problem who cares if you die in a game we will have fun trying things instead of hiding behind walls/numbers/cannons whatever you want to call it

But so many people have blinkers on in this thread and never take one step back from the game and look at server health... we all know what happend on live servers if one side dominated the others and made it unplayable, but no must get loot, must get little renown, little contribution, little reward for zone lock above all else. So much greed so much narrow mindedness... either you will get destro to copy lame "skilled pro tactics" to make it happen even more or you will make players leave the game and with population swings that is not really great for server health and balance but who cares about that aslong as you get loot and zerg fights right.

If the shoe is on other foot I would either pull off give order some space to come out, or i would push very deep so they could have cannon support atleast to wipe us... there would be no siege weapons from us in open especially at spawn thats just not classy... Just like in zones like CW, TM, KV recently where neither us nor phalanx used siege, we let you out of spawn and fought proper fights.

#Nork
Sometimes you just cant disengage from a fight especially if flanks are exposed by numbers, I prefer m4 cycle for sure, sometimes a raze bomb is needed as a test of pressure, sometimes it works sometimes it dont, and yeah it was one of most fun fights in ror for me personally (ive been fortunate enough to have a few) ... it beats funneling or camping keep
