Mostly zerg side is able to use them (more safer to use and more resources), isnt they implemented to break zerg? So why then after one realm take keep opposite side doesnt have ability to use cannons?
Also in some scenarios like Gromril crossing and Phoenix Gate we are able to fire even objective/flags which is main purpose of those scenarios.
What is your opinion about cannons in open RVR or even SCs?

I share your opinion.
It's a win more tool which is really kicking in sometimes in a bad way.
On MT they are game breaking sometimes....

Re: How big is your cannon?
after zone lock i don't mine not being able to deploy them (it makes it more immersive as no keep or supplies, so how can you support them), But i do see your point
And Cannons at the Warcamp is nice to prevent too much Warcamp camping. maybe more damage for under populated side

Re: How big is your cannon?
You get Cannons if your keep has stars and get resources.
As to attack the opossing keep and break the funnel if one occurs.
And yes in the rvr lakes a good AoE Cannon hitting the enemy blob means big damage. So if we can we take one or two organ guns with us.

Re: How big is your cannon?
I never got the point of cannons in rvr. I want to play my class, not click a button (that's why being on a ram is boring).
I think the cannons are a perfect spawncamp deterrent in scs, but yeah the MT destro cannon has needed to get pushed back for a while.

Re: How big is your cannon?
Cannon dmg in sc is whack imo. Swear there must be a few ex-military players who seem to just stick to cannons for the entire 15mins - even if they're winning.

i don't understand why people spending time on cannons for hours. it's so sad to see.
and also current cannon system is totally fail, cannons designed for zerg punishing but atm, zerger side got more access to couple of cannons while underdog eating horseshit.
ty for reading.

I would much prefer if cannons were only able to be fired around objectives, towing siege is a really nice feature but open field fights can be ruined by a few ppl sitting back and laying down 3k hits in a zerg fight, you would still see issues in zones like caledor around mid bo when its the bridge camp but it would help in other zones.
I can totally understand why ppl do it, done it myself a few times, when you are not playing in an optimal group or wb your best bet to set up an aoe cannon follow the blob and let it use, not very exciting but is rewarding.
As for sc's some just need the range reduced so it doesnt reach the flags.

Re: How big is your cannon?
I remember us Destro getting zerged a week ago in Reikland one evening. Well, eventually we manage to defeat Order on our inners and then take fight back to BOs.
With constant 20-40 AAO, we had maybe 3 Destro wbs versus 4-5 Order wbs.
At some point, we had a huge fight at Gunworks BO; we won, and after cleaning the Order from the area we counted the amount of cannons the WINNING side had brought to one BO fight; FIVE.
It would be understandable if the losing side brings more firepower to the fights, but when the underdog side is getting hammered by enemy cannonfire while facing superior numbers... good gods people, how about no?
