Hi folks, this is WARHAMMER, there is war, where there is war people need the gentle touch of a clothwearing benefactor.
I am here to plead our case after being scoffed at for 'not healing' or 'hes just farming renown in stead of keeping his team up' and a general sense of being taken for granted.

The reason, i am currently making my way to T4 but notice in most of the scenario's i dont play with my buddy (my personal IB bodyguard) that i tend to get focussed. Which is smart and i dont mind, i did the same in official warhammer on my chosen/mara.

But often times when a scenario starts there is that one guy.
You all know him, he beelines straight into the destro blob... alone, while the rest of the team are lagging behind.
He leads the charge... on his own... and gets frustrated when the destro side gives him a good tap on the noggin.
I tend to ignore 'that guy' unless i think he can actually do something useful in that small window, when the reaper is still sharpening his scythe (usually that means they show me some loving next because im too close to my not so friendly spiky adorned neighbours and i regret trying to help 'that guy' instantly)

Try to keep in mind where your healers are please, also keep in mind that if there are two melee on a single RP, he wont be able to heal you AND himself, we do cherish life (and grog... and a well trimmed beard, im short hmmkay, i need to compensate )

Be aware that if you chase that destro around the corner away from the team, we cant always follow you, we tend to try and stay back a little, we try to maintain a good position where we have LOS on 'the team' rather then over 'that guy'.

When you see us hoppin around in panic because some greenfaced son of an squig is whooping our backside, be a sport and hop on over to show him whats what. Snare him, knock him away, pull his trousers over his head and stick your finger in his ear or give him the dreaded (chaos favourite) purple nurple

Conclusion, i dont hate you 'guy', not at all, but you give us too much work. So if you ever come knocking around Ekrund, you damn well better have a fruitbasket on hand !

You're right. Mostly on order side, it's better wasting your heals on the Rdps army wasting their dot/dd on Chosens and BOs with shield who run into back lines. And that's how 90% of the pugs SC end up with 90% of the people sticking to the Spawn camp.


Btw, no hate, I play both healer and mdps. But unlike you, I prefer sometimes hard try with the ones who play the objective and initiate pushs than slacking behind with our Rdps (who are for the most part totally inefficient).

In that case you are not being 'that guy'
That is 'as intended' melee need to push, otherwise they stand around pulling each others finger. I cling to groups doing objectives, i dont waste time healing the folks who just want to kill as much as they can/max the charts while theres a band going for the objective. Which is another topic, when a class isnt top of the charts he may have had a bigger impact on the gameflow then 'the scoreboardmasters'.
Keeping that tank alive who is dealing with 5 folks trying to whittle him down is a huge win, leaves alot of room for our team to deal with lesser numbers.

When you stand next to a flag with a ton of players trying to pull your undies over your head and you are not two continents away from the team, i will be there.
When a tank runs to their backlines trying to interrupt the enemies healing, i will be there.
When that WL gets chased by 4 guys, dragging them away from and objective so we can tip the scales, i will be there.
Whenever a fellow healer tries hard to stay alive while healing himself AND his focus target, i will be there.
When in Ekrund a keg of grog overflows and needs a tap, i will be there.
Whenever 'that guy' respawns and runs past me while two enemies are tieing my shoelaces together to tip me over, i wont be there, ill be at the respawncamp to do it all over again

you may not believe but I understand healers pain.
I blame myself when I overextend.
that guys who blame healers are not worth to heal IMO.
pre-HoT is enough.

it seems OP understand tank's role.
It's hard decision but abandon useless ones and heal right targets.
you can't save them from themselves.
Don't risk your life for 'that guy'.

You are free to do as you please, you can be 'that guy', i only mind if they start playing the blame game. That just displays a lack of basic insight, i have never given a guy flak for doing the things that 'that guy' does

But i do find it hard to abandon folks, eventhough its what gets me killed most of the time.
We all know those moments where you are faced with a situation that doesnt look to good, and your gut tells you 'hmmm, wouldnt do that dude, now fetch me some grog and stay out of that mess' yet we still do it because theres a wee chance that IT JUST MIGHT WORK and we'd be crowned king of dwarves for winning against insurmountable odds

Huge differance to charging in or being up front to hold the line tho. So odd to ranged characters run passed me into the enemy while they could be behind my shield.
