Dominator 5 Pieces bonus : Barrier Proc

hello, i have a question about barrier proc :
"On being hit : 10% Chance to form a protective barrier that will absorb up to 183 damage over 5 seconds"

Does it has internal CD?

Does the 183 dmg absorbed in tooltip is the correct number? (it feels low for a 5 pieces bonus with 10% chances to proc)

Hmm dont know But 183 is a funny Bonus If it has no extra CD it will be every 5 seconds up unser Focus

Probably but under focus 183 won't change anything . Not sure i'll feel the difference .

The Set Bonus is made that it dont change anything. Its Just a lil Bonus nothing Else. If The Set Bonus rly change something The Sets where Hard imbalanced

5 pc bonus for 183 shield just means you shouldn't be getting that and go for a 3/3/3 or 4/3/2 type bonus. Just saying, take advantage of bonuses and ignore the worthless ones.

tested with low level mobs.
internal CD was 5sec in my test.
only saw once it proc right after when it's 5sec expired.
it's nothing against dps dmg. but it absorb a few blows from tank/healer attack.
I agree it's just bonus. between 6th bonus.

So what would you think it makes the biggest difference : +62 toughness or +5% in reduction of being crit hit ?

id check which is more affordable from renown points. Ur question depends on How much u already have of each stat
