I recently did this on my Mara and the heal debuff didnt seem to make a difference at all... Just my 2 cents.

So if the heal cannot be interrupted, do people know what the heal is from? is it from his attacks? I heave been told numerous things such as "he heals for the # of people he hits" etc. But everytime I try and learn the mechanic, it seems not to matter... If you dont have really good DPS (from 2 DPS) you wont kill him.

The "punting" is almost like a secondary mechanic to this boss where the heal seems to be the #1 thing to learn to counter... The punt is easy if you have a semi-non idiotic group.... But that heal.... I dont know how you can overcome that unless you just sheer DPS the HECK out of him...

We did it in around 1min 30 seconds with two very good DPS (WL/SL).
Had everyone at the legs of dragon, only main tank infront. Saved his defensive morale when punted, and if low on HP (IB works well for this with the M2).
Taunt during his hind-leg phase, gg.

We found that the most important factor is not positioning, but strong DPS (hence why a lot/most pug attempts fall flat on their face, I'd wager). Burst classes like the WL/WH/SL are epic in this, and you should have at least one of them and an offensive tank utilising Demolishing Strike.

I had great results as a lead tank by running close around the outside of his feet whilst hitting him with everyone else under his belly.

Then some bossy fing told me to stop it and i did and it all turned to crap.

Why? You can interrupt by knock down if drago doesnt have immune Unnstopable.

And Good Dps is needed to kill this boss. We killed him and he pulled us 1 time and didnt heal at all. I think better party is 1 MT 1 offtank 3 dds and shaman/AM (knowing about new mechanic)

I have done this a couple of times successfully but the mechanics still elude me. The punt is easy enough although if a tank makes a bad turn it can get someone punted. For the most part that is not an issue.
Everyone says to taunt/kd/interrupt when he is on his hind legs but why? What does it interrupt?
If you can't interrupt the heal then is there a way to reduce how much he heals for? I have seen him go from ~60% to full instantly. The fight is enough of a challenge just keeping up with the punt and positioning. Requiring extremely high dps so that most pug cannot achieve is discouraging.
