Do they trouble groups, like yours and mine, nope, in their 6 man, sure because they play range dps in RvR but others like us could do the same in our small groups, pass on everything to one player, play one class, be high renown rank already and have a bucket load of play time.
Again, how would you change the contribution so tanks and healers would have an increased chance while solo? Is this not further pushing the game into solo supportive?
Which is somewhat interesting in a sad way; the WB carries the zone but the efficient pugfarming premades has usually the dibs on the loot.
Obviously the premades that focus on maximizing kills need to be rewarded for their efforts, but the question is, how can pugs even compete?

Re: Can We Talk About Loot Rolls?
Is it possible to add a PQ tracker to the entirety of the lake so that those players with full conq gear can make use of the lovely and recently implemented opt-out of gold option, while providing them a chance to get the coveted purple and others a chance for gold?

Really hoped we left this 'WB are skillless blobs' behind us. Sad to see the opposite.wargrimnir wrote:By getting good. Re: Can We Talk About Loot Rolls?
More currency rolls seem to add more lag to the game aswell.
I've seen this trending for every patch adding new gear now. Everytime new gear is added to obtain the lag seem to increase aswell. Might be worth checking into

Re: Can We Talk About Loot Rolls?
No each keep is in itself a pq. They cant overlap nor should they be expanded because there will be issues if the whole lake is considered keep area.NoRKaLKiLLa wrote:Is it possible to add a PQ tracker to the entirety of the lake so that those players with full conq gear can make use of the lovely and recently implemented opt-out of gold option, while providing them a chance to get the coveted purple and others a chance for gold?

Opt-out doesnt work for Keeps yet.NoRKaLKiLLa wrote:Is it possible to add a PQ tracker to the entirety of the lake so that those players with full conq gear can make use of the lovely and recently implemented opt-out of gold option, while providing them a chance to get the coveted purple and others a chance for gold?
Implemented only on PQs afaik, for now.

I really agree that coordinate group should be more rewarded than the Zerg .
But why rewarding roaming/ganking group based on kills rather than players that play objectives (keep,BO, supplies) ?
Re: Can We Talk About Loot Rolls?
From my experience, those same roaming/ganking groups are attacking and defending objectives, running and intercepting supplies, as well as being around for the keep take itself at some point. They move a lot faster and with more coordination than a zergy WB+ full of people who only blob from one BO to the next with 6 minute BO capture timers. When a zerg WB is getting kills, there is no reliable way to secure deathblows for yourself or your group when there's 15+ different damage sources on a targetGrunbag wrote:

The zerg just moves too slow and with far less coordination to reliably get yourself into the top 10 in contribution rolls. I wouldn't say the zerg does not put in the same effort the roaming groups do towards a zone lock, but the coordination and speed that a 6 man roaming group provides is evidently a superior way to get high zone lock contribution (and medallions from kills).

Re: Can We Talk About Loot Rolls?
@wargrimnir
I play in that kind of group, and game reward me for that giving me conq medalions.
@Grunbag
We don't need supplys also BOs to reward ppl for them as much, you need them to spawn ram at keep thats all.
Rewarding ppl for BOs is not fair, because more important is to take keep it's main target, also it's open pvp not pve so killing other players i much more important then pve npc.
@DokB
Keep is not rewarding players as much it should, for many players not in pug wb it's just waste of time, and they chose to get contribution elsewhere, and I understand ppl that fight other out of keep to stop them to get ther and help in def. but fighting on BOs and runing with supply while other players wipe again at keep it's just sick and not fair.
For most I don't like roll at zone lock. Yesterday I was 10 at contribution, after rool 60+ or 70+
Other time i went to zone 5 minutes before lock, didn't kill anyone, didnt take keep or BO even supply and I get white bag. I want to be rewarded for my contribution not a luck.

Re: Can We Talk About Loot Rolls?
Well they could always adjust the "loot rolls" so that instead of 750/750 it becomes max contri 1000 and max loot rolls 500, effective meaning the old system except turned around.
Which would ensure greater likelihood of the the top-10 contributors also getting rewards, but also greater likelihood that the same people who currently min-max the system (/borderline abuse mechanics) would really be the ones farming gold bags day after day.
I wouldn't mind, if I had a solid 6man carrying me through zones 8 hours a day, but alas not everyone is being carried by fotm setups; some of us actually play suboptimal classes (when compared to optimized 6man metagame)
Another question is; whilst rewarding the "hardcore" players is understandable, there is the question how long will the average casual player keep trying until they realize that the lakes and their rewards belong only to the premades and if you have only a few hours of playtime a week; why even bother doing orvr?
It's hard to find the optimal solution, one that would satisfy and reward the well coordinated and optimized 6man premades for stomping pugs, and one that would not leave the average pug player too much bloodied in the trench-muds of getting barely any rewards out of showing up for RvR.
Another good question would be why focus so much on "6man" balance (and horrible lack thereof) and rewarding, when most of the playerbase runs quite often either in warbands or smaller groups or soloing.
