I don't think much would change. DPS would only get extra benefit, while the progression curve for healers and tanks is only slightly sped up. It'd give people the illusion of progression simply because it's faster. It's the sole reason we've always held off on extra Medallion rewards from killquests, stemming from T3. End-game gear takes a lot of time to get, in theory. In practice, DPS classes get ahead faster than others. Then again, the Scenario sets are probably what the best DPS players would go for, due to its power potential. I think the system could work, as per roadkillrobin's comment on the RvR rolls; cut out the Conq Medallion rolls and simply hand out quests for Renown Rank 42+ players to get 1 Conqueror medal for 25 kills.dansari wrote:Ez mode indeedRyanMakara wrote: Oh, right. I like the tanks and healers that I run with to feel valued too.. and sometimes I get the feeling they'd much rather be running a DPS so they can be contributing to their chance at meds. What is your opinion on the kill quest idea presented by Acidic? Even if it was tied to the 50/50/50 quest already available and the reward was 5 conq? I just truly empathize with players running tanks/healers and wish there was a way to make them feel valued for their play making ability and contribution.
I'd prefer an up-conversion for Officer's Medallions, so that everyone contributing to the RvR system would gain their gear on this basis in due time. Even then, DPS would profit from this as they get Officer's Medallions from any deathblow on a <RR42 target, which are quite easy to kill for obvious reason.
Overall, there should be a tweak to healer/tank contribution. It's just hard to realise with limited assets and a volunteer team.
