Login Problem with one Char

I have a weird problem when I try to login with my main char (Waiola).
I see the character selection menu, I see the char, and I can press the play-button to start loading.
But then after showing the loading screen, it will in 4 of 5 cases fall back to the character selection screen - which is then unfunctional and I have to quit/restart ror to try to login again.
It usually takes several failed attempts for one successfull login.
Waiola is the only char I have this problem with, but unfortunately it is my main char...
I have tried the "usual recipes", like reduced the amount of quests to < 10, cleaned up my backpacks to 1-2 full bags, removed quest items, reduced the amount of crafting materials. The logout-zone seems to have no influence either.
Nothing helped so far.
I heavily used appearances on her - could that be the cause ?
Is there a way to reset item appearances (I don't want to buy my set items again...) ?

Have you tried /stuck 2 times fast while on loading screen?

Yes, I tried /stuck*2 and it worked - but only for this particular login.
I then moved to another zone, logged out and when tried to login again I had the same problem again.

Is there a way to remove applied appearances from items (without rebuying the items) ?

Remove Appearance:
Just activate the appearance button and make a right click on the altered appearance item.

Then a pop window comes and asks if you want to remove the appearance.
After that it is again your normal appearance.
