Next step is figuring out how to close the gates again and make them interactable, so they will open upon being clicked :D

Werent they closed until someone decided to open them all up because the game is too difficult already for the casual pugger like me.

The gates are now open because Londo added an open/close trigger for DB-devs to the database to decide which door can be interacted with.

You might note, there are no bag drops in T1 RvR. If there were, you would have seen the PvE loot show up in them. Instead, it just meant that Destro had no loot.

Also, debolster is R13. None of the gear in T1 is 'twink' gear.
