Order needs more range classes; particularly standing around on the wooden bridge in Nordenwatch seems to be a solid tactic that just needs some additional refinement.
Spoiler:
I don't know if to /lol or /cry every time this is happening: almost all range classes stop on the bridge and wait for the destro melees to charge into them.
Or even better: stop on the bridge, a single s&b chosen runs into them and they switch the full-panic-mode on while body-blocking each other. The few melee players at the flag die because of no support -> scenario lost.
Imo "play a range class" is not the best advice; except this is about PuG ZvZ situations. The op also mentioned that he wants to play a WH, the melee DD class with the best AOE detaunt and imo the most PuG friendly melee DD (i guess he will play PuG most of the time).

Lol, speak for yourself m8. There are a decent amount of players that do well soloing. Obviously, sometimes you get zerged to death, but it's definitely possible to have fun and success soloing as certain classes. I wouldn't recommend soloing as Slayer or Zealot f'rex, but it's possible to solo as a 2h Ironbreaker (there might even be some videos out there of someone doing it on RoR ;) ), and it's most definitely possible to have success soloing as a dps AM/Shaman, or (even better) a Squig Herder.

Look, it's not the most efficient way to play. And it can be very frustrating. But if you're an antisocial git like me, then it can be fun and rewarding when you get a good night of ganks, or pull off a good 1vX.
The fact that there are almost 0 destro the last few months who semi-consistently solo proves you wrong. There's a couple of WEs (literally like 5-6) and a Shaman whose name I won't mention cause he's easily upset and he'll report me for slander. Even the Squig Herders seems to have disappeared after the pet nerf.

I haven't seen any order careers consistently being out there by themselves except for 1 or 2 SMs (Rememberme) and WHs (crucially no IBs, what gives mr. Amazing?).

It seems your ego prevents you from adimitting the fact that no non-stealth career does well solo in ORvR right now (ok, maybe that one shaman). Videos with cherry-picked situations that occur 10-15% of the time won't prove anything to the contrary.

As for the WH/WE "stagger trap" comment, RD does nothing if you're a melee since you're still playing catch-up with a stealth class after the Declare Anathema/Agile Escape. Hardly a solution.

Lol, who pissed in your cheerios? Calm down dude. I get it, you don't have fun soloing. Other people do. Stop trying to kill all the fun.

Shadow warriors have the same, plus ranged ccs. Stealth opener, kd, Aw, RD, then pursue and finish them off. Works well on all classes except tanks. It's a solution, if your problem is cc. It is not if you try to play the piano.

You see clearly the preparation of the skill and the direction it will take. If I can take it with a Witch Elf who's got no closer, unless they run, any mara or choppy can close in with charge easily. Remember that stealth class can't stealth with direct damage. They can with dots. Try this next time. (direct is, for example, your core ranged skill.)

I don't understand your reference, sorry. I wasn't aware I could single-handedly kill the fun for the server's population by posting here, I'll start being more careful with this newfound power.

Since you've failed to address my points I'll take my leave, enjoy the cheerios or whatever you're having! ;)

Think there are less solo'ers due to there being only one pairing open. Try soloing in Caledor or KV in european primetime :D
It might also be that the solo'ers just zerg-surf so you dont notice them.

I wonder if there is any discussion on the forum that doesn't derail in a "this doesn't work fine/ this needs tweaking" thread.

After you run into scenario after scenario where the other team has 5/6 RDPS and you are playing MDPS you will want to neck yourself. The only winning move most of the time is to sit back and watch and wish you were RDPS.

And it's not even like MDPS has much more burst or some amazing advantages over RDPS that warrants being totally outclassed in these types of situations.

The only MDPS that really fits well with RDPS dominated scenarios is marauder with it's pull and m1 root it can on a reasonable timer do something. WL is sort of that on order, but it's mobility got totally gutted which compensated for it's lack of defensibility in comparison to marauder.
