Newbie Questions

So coming back to the server to play kinda forgot everything about it tbh. But is doing Scenarios/Public Quests and ORvR still the fastest ways to level? Plan to play with a buddy and we want to know how we can level the most efficient way. Ty in advance.

Also have the classes been more balanced then lets say 2 or 3 months ago? I am wondering if White Lion is still broken or not.

Heya bud, here is a quick run down.

t2 has x3 exp from quests and t3 has x3 exp to everything if your looking to level to t4 the fastest way, the best way is to grind mobs or quest in the off hours and get on the RvR / scenario train when they are popping to keep your renown rank close to your level.

If your leveling in a duo, just do everything together, it will go twice as fast. The travel quests through each zone are a great way to net a handy amount of gold while in between scenarios.

The class balance is a never ending project, there have been some major changes, I would strongly recommend checking out this link to see what has changed.

White Lions are in a decent spot right now, they have issues with dead tactics, high AP costs, quite narrow spec paths and the pet sometimes disappearing, although the latter is better than it has been. On the other hand they have the highest burst in the game, they are quite self-reliant (considering they are melee DPS who are generaly quite vulnerable and need babysitting in RvR), very versatile and therefore synergise well with a plethora of other careers. And they are fun if you enjoy hit&run playstyle or just being able to catch and train down anyone.

Recent changes were a change to Pounce, which has a 10 sec cooldown and can no longer be used in the air but increases your speed for 3 sec after landing, so you are more reliable able to catch up with fast targets. And Whirling Axe AoE damage has been buffed, which isn't that relevant.

Make sure to do your Epic quests in T3 and T4 and the Stalker Quests in T3 for a bunch of experience (and nice loot).

So even starting out at T1 we should just group mobs and grind off of them until we can arrive at T2 then quest till T3 and then we can mix and match? all while doing SC and RvR?

T1 is a different story, its just a place to have fun and mess around, once you get bored, well its time to move on.

No, what i mean is when RvR is active, do it. Its fun, you get to fight people and enjoy the game, you can que scenarios while your playing too. This is a great way to learn the scenario maps.

In the quiet hours, just quest through t2 while being qued for scenarios. In t3 during the quiet hours get your grind on and at lvl 28 you can start getting ruin gear so you can check out Raziehell's pq list here and find some pqs to get some gear from.
