This is a proposal to change how you respecialize your mastery trees.
At the moment, in order to respec, you have to buy back all of your mastery points.
My proposal is that instead of having to repec everything at once, there is a way to respec your points one point at a time.
I am not aware of what would be possible in terms of coding, etc. However, my idea was that there was a way to buy back mastery points in the same way as you build your trees. You would be able to select a "buy back" function, and then click each point to remove it until you were as far down as you wanted to respec for.
The purpose of this would be to encourage people to try new builds without having to pay over 5 gold every time they wanted to try even a single new ability/tactic/morale. All you would have to do is buy back a few points, and toss them in a new tree, and SHAZAM, a new build.
I think that having to pay for points is still valid, and maybe raise the cost of each point individually would even be alright to still provide a cost for respec'ing. So respec'ing all of your points might cost more than originally (which would provide an element of choosing your base tree wisely), but it would not be a detrimental on the wallet to only respec a few.
As an example, on my sorcerer, I switched my build from annihilator/Path of Destruction to a Ruin/Calamity/Agony. I did this in light of the crit nerf, and thought I would try something new. However, I wanted to try the abilities and tactics in the new trees, and I found it quite expensive to spec, and switch things around, over and over.
I apologize for the wordiness; just trying to cover all the bases.

Re: Mastery Tree Proposal
Not really a Balance proposal, so I'm gonna have to decline it. Feel free to post this in General Discussion/Suggestions forum.
