Launcher not working

Background been playing the gam and running the program for about 2 years and no issues. My computer was running slow, and the game would start to lag after an hour of game play. So I went looking for a Solution

What I did: I updated my windows, I updated graphics drivers, and updated my virus scanner and conducted a scan. After all his and several restarts when it comes time to launch the game like I have always done it does not launch. I double click, I click open and all it does is my mouse becomes the loading circle. After about 10 seconds it stops and nothing happens. No error, No launcher Pop up or nothing.

What I did to try to fix the solution:
Initialy I deactivated my virus scanner, and turned off my firewall. I restarted and conducted a full shut down on my computer and no results. I went to the forums to find a solution. I saw something on going to user-user-data app-local-war... the war folder was not there. I saw a fix for making all folders have the read only unchecked So I did that.

I even created a new account on my computer with little improvement, the launcher did pop up under a new user, but an error appeared menting unauthorized access and system this.....

I hope I described my problem clearly. I am currently running windows 10.

Remove read only on the game folder.

Access was denied to the path or file WAR.exe!

Remove the write-protection (right click the game folder -> properties -> disable read-only) from all the files in the WAR folder and try again. You may also try running the launcher with Administrator privileges.

If you used the torrent to download the game, the torrent application may still be using the files. Either copy the entire WAR folder to a new location (if you wish to continue supporting the torrent), or move the entire WAR folder to another location to break access to the torrent.

hello, i have the same issue, the difference is that my home´s light went out, and when tried to lauch RoR again, it didnt worked :L i´ve downloaded the launcher like 5-6 times and re-downloaded the whole game and still the same :C

I had a similar problem for not being able to remove the read only option, but it was fixed after i used a launcher that elven gave us, but it seems now that the file is not avilable :C
