To be honest since it takes all of a couple of hours to level through t1 and there is not the need for influence for weapons or armour, I highly doubt anything will change.
In regards to BO rewards in later tiers, we tried it, everyone just served from one bo to the next. It was horrible imho.

Re: About capturing BO's
Same reason defensive ticks don't give loot anymore. People cared more about the Ticks then Fighting.
Also, you shouldn't get RR/Inf for capping BOs in an empty zone.
I would however like to see a bonus to capping(fully) BOs while a friendly keep is under attack. Quite often, you see one side or the other just sit in keep defending rather than even try to take some BOs and actually stop the advance. But that would probably be a nightmare to code/debug.
And I would be supportive of the bonus RR/inf on a zone lock for each BO that you contributed towards taking. I'd love to see Lock bonus' tied to what you actually did instead of simply your presence at the time of Lock. Again though, this is magic wand crap with no knowledge of coding potential. There's a reason I'm a carpenter and not an IT guy. I hate code.
Edit: This is also all entirely based upon the CURRENT RvR system. The upcoming(2 weeks!) ORvR system will see dramatic changes to how BOs function, and so this entire thread could in fact be moot...

Re: About capturing BO's
That's is the reason people waiting in keep for defense instead of taking BO's to stop the advance, there is no reward for taking that BO, so why anyone want to stop enemy to only source of tick? (defense) People will always go for easy rewards, its same thing in every game. This is why i said giving some sort of reward its better than nothing at all. Even if its not full tick (like on live servers), could give only a part of inf /rr/xp, it doesn't matter. It need something for small groups so they annoy enemy by taking those BO's. Its worked on live, why shouldn't work now?
Example: enemy have full wb and me and another 2 are only one in area, what i should do? Go in keep and wait for 30 mins so they come and kill me on walls? I could go and take Bo's behind their backs to stop them lock zone, but wait, i get NOTHING for taking those bo's, so why bother?
This is also a reason for lots to log to winning side, at least they take lock zone tick instead of nothing.

Re: About capturing BO's
Or...
You can actually go looking for Destro/order and pick a fight. 6mans or smaller go roaming all the time, and with a bit of skill, kiting, timing, and luck you can get some awesome fights. Yes, you will die. but who cares? Far more entertaining than taking empty BOs or sitting in a Keep...
Question, when We had a rank/RR cap, did you just stop playing once you had BiS and capped? What do you plan on doing once you have current BiS and quasi-capped(anything over RR50 is just brutal to even think about gaining with 25% RR gains imo?
You don't play WAR for loot. You play it for the battles. Plan, think, and play with that in mind, and you'll find that there are tons of options. The loot is helpful in terms of being "competitive" but if you don't give a **** about objectives, then wtf do you need to be "competitive" for?
"i get NOTHING for taking those bo's, so why bother?" Because taking the BOs will stop the enemy realm from being able to attack the keep. They have to pull off, and using your scenario, you take the BO, then race to a place nearish to it, to see how many you can gank/kite. Spam /t4 and /1/2 with info that destro/order are attacking and you need help/ganking, etc.If you can't figure out how to be smarter than the Zerg, then I dunno what to tell you...
The real issue imo is that so few **** people have any idea how or desire to fight ORvR outside of a keep. Keep defense/attack is easy I guess, but I see people CONSTANTLY bitching about how boring it is... So why the feck do you keep doing it? If you honestly think that staying in a keep against a full WB with 3 people is a good use of your time, then have fun. Just don't complain about it.
I'm gonna go find a fight.

Re: About capturing BO's
I would be all for opening up the Elf and Dwarf T1 Zones for INF gains, as I believe it would lead to battles for control. I always liked the T1 Elf zone. Fighting there tended to be fun.
Welcome to Warhammer, No Fun Allowed!!
Re: About capturing BO's
It seems backward to be penalizing players for doing things in game. I'm not saying the rewards need to be ginormus, but on the flip side, I've found myself in that 7PM - 2AM NA blackhole time zone. It would be really cool to be able to progress my T2/T3 toons in some meaningful way that doesn't hose their RR while levelling outside the lakes and allows for RvR inf rewards.
Re: About capturing BO's
So i should go alone and pick a fight against a blob who is semi afking in front of keep? 90% of players looking for tick reward, and they will wait for a warband before doing anything, so they just wait in pve or camps. Do you think its fun now with empty maps and everyone in one zone? Just look at lower tiers and see how sad it looks.Dabbart wrote:Or...

I stopped playing when T2 was just open, mostly because of lags. But i played on live for more than 3 years, and guess what, it worked fine with getting reward from objectives, and had great fights over one silly BO even 1vs1 (because guards wasn't buggy to reset, or hit like a truck)
Its a game, people want rewards for playing it. At the moment there is nothing to gain, people will leave. Lets remove ticks from capturing zones also, rewards from kills, and see how many will still "play it for the battles" Wait, lets remove everything and leave only a big open field, i bet it will be much better, we don;t need objectives. I hear people asking for removing things in other mmo's also, for the fun of pure fights....
Re: About capturing BO's
I dont get what you are talking about. I was capped on both renown and gear ever since T3 release (june 2015?) and played actively and consistantly the entire time.
Hell somehow in a state of "nothing to gain" an entire guild which could form organized 24 man every day came into existence, had the most fun I ever had on this project during that time, as did 23 other players.
Right now its impossible to get even 12 man into a warband to do something due to the **** RvR. Imo it would be better if people that put so much priority on just getting rewards would leave this server alltogether since all they do is promote cancerous gameplay (and it shows in the community, look how edgy everyone is all the time on the forums).
TLDR: The players this server needs are players that play it for the fights, not the gear grind.

Re: About capturing BO's
@Rebuke, you need to read carefully what i said. Giving some kind or reward (smaller than on live, so we don't end with people capturing only small objectives) will make more people interested in capturing those objectives. This way there will be MORE fights over those bo's, like its supposed to be and how Mythic devs created the rvr areas. Its a snowball effect, removing rewards will make less people playing, less people playing will trigger less fights, etc. Removing things in games almost never did good thing for that game.
If you want people to not fight over gear, then remove gear advantages.
PS. I really can't believe you just said its better for server if some people leave....
Anyway, i'm not gonna bother, if devs don't see the advantages to have more active fights over objectives then why i should care? There are some good ideas in this thread, and its their decision if they will change anything or not. I'm just a player who want to play a game closer to how was on live, its not like i'm not gonna play it if i don't have bo's rewards, but in time i will get tired of blob vs gate "fights" over a keep, like its now in 90% of time outside evenings.

Re: About capturing BO's
I do agree 100% with what you said. And a new RvR system is in the making as we speak. Devs are fully aware that rewards should be spread out for all active participants.
e.g. a person being in the main warband fighting head-on with the main enemy should not get more rewards (medals inf gold rr etc) than a 6 man protecting a flank of said warband which prevented the warband backline being harrassed by squiggies or what have you. After all: if there was no warband to take the enemy head on the 6 man cant do much against it save some guerilla, but if the 6 man was not protecting the warband backline from an ambush the warband could wipe. Its a symbiotic relationship.
Back when the only way of improving your character was through kills (it gave you 5 medals on each 150 kills) atleast promoted fights. No zone lock no keep take nothing, just kills.
If the devs manage to create a system where locking a zone ALWAYS requires effort and coordination its a great conduit for shared reward.
The thing you want to prevent is people thinking that blobbing up is the most efficient way to gain rewards. The system should be more about "if i spend 1 hour fighting in RvR in a 12 man kiting group I get the same rewards as someone in a 24 man bomb warband, but we have to make it happen together".
Typing this I realise its abit offtopic but I think it brings a good message.
