Authentication error over wi-fi

I'm having a weird issue:

As the title indicates, I'm getting an Authentication error, when I try to log in. I get to the Character Loading Screen, but nothing gets loaded and after a short while the screen freezes and up pops the error message.

Funny thing is, it only happens when I'm on my wi-fi - which otherwise works flawlessly. If I hardwire my connection to my router, I can log in without any issues.

I would of course prefer to log in via wi-fi, as it otherwise requires me to drag a cable across the apartment (causing girlfriend aggro).

I've had no issues logging in wireless previously, but I recently installed a wi-fi adapter allowing me to utilize my 5ghz 802.11ac connection - and the issue seems to have come with this upgrade.

For the record, I've tried:
- deleting the launcher and re-downloading and -installing it
- changing my password
- changing to 2.4ghz connection (though still on new adapter)
- Running malware scans (Malwarebytes and Spybot)
- Rebooting
- Allowing both launcher and war.exe through Windows Firewall
- Completely disabling Windows Firewall

But nothing seems to works. Except a hardwire. Any tips/solutions/similar experiences out there?

From what I can see it's an issue with your WiFi setup/configuration. Try changing the config through trial and error.

I've not encountered anyone having authentication error due to their local network config, so I got no other specific suggestions right off the bat.

Alright. I'll dig into it - though I've no idea what to look for. The connection seems to be working as a charm otherwise.

But thanks for the quick reply!
