name changed.

last night i recieved a warning of sorts ingame about my characters name. i didnt really understand what this would entail nor really why my characters name had been considered a violation of any kind, since its a rather funny name in my language(swedish). youd have to be incredibly pathetic or butthurt if youd get pissed off at such trival things imo tbh.

anyway thats fine tho, i dont really care about that name in particular at all. i wouldnt mind changing it if that is what is required. but what my problem here is that upon login in today, my characters name has been already been changed for me! with some random crap of a name. and my entire ui profile, with layout and keybindings are all reset aswell.

As i know your name was changed to random, generated by name-generator at character creation screen.
And about binds and UI, maybe you can save it by renaming your character settings folder in \Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\user\settings\Martyrs Square\%charactername%

yes most likely. still though if anything let ME change the name of my character. i dont even want to play him now as it stands with that random roleplay name. i did get back the same binds and all as before after switching profiles a second time so that got sorted atleast. but still

Your original character name was against terms of service, therefore it was changed. Our method is to use random name generator to rename characters.

You failed to read the Terms of Use of this server before you played. The third line in the General rules states:

* No offensive, vulgar or racially charged nicknames. This is applies to both your forum account and any character names.

Your failure to do so means that you have forfeited all right of complaint about what a GM decided to do with your nickname. Yes, unlike many other servers, there are consequences here for refusing to read the Terms of Use.
