[RESOLVED] New player - "Your account is not active"

Hello!

I have searched through the forum for this issue and have encountered many similar issues and one issue that was like mine, but no solutions. I have never signed up for or played on this private server before.

What's been done

-Downloaded Torrent of game files
-Extracted to local HDD
-Downloaded RORLauncher
-Moved RoRLauncher.exe to the folder where I had extracted the gameplay files. WAR.exe lives in the same folder.
-Run RoRLauncher.exe and the window opens and allows me to enter username and password.
-Username and password entered correctly gives "Your account is not active" error.
-Username and password entered incorrectly gives invalid username and password error as expected.
-Same login info works correctly on the forum (This user)

I have tried

-Resetting my password through the User Control Panel on this site. (The reset worked, new password works logging into the forums)
-Waiting a day
-Restarting my PC

I don't know when the servers reset so I don't know if a server reset has happened since yesterday.

I would upload logs from the \Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\logs folder but all the timestamps and system info look wrong. Let me know if there are other logs I can get.

Try reseting your password when game server is up please, not during downtimes.
It'll force account update on game server instantly.

From what I can tell the server is up right now, both squares are green on the launcher and the main page of this site says Server Status is Up. I just tried resetting my password again just to be sure and I got the same result as before.

have you tried unchecking the " read only " box in the folder properties?

Good idea! I had not, and I am sure I would have needed to in the future! Unfortunately it did not help with my "Your account is not active issue".

I made sure the client was closed, unchecked the box, restarted the client, same result. I also double checked to make sure the uncheck Read Only actually applied to the files and it appears that it did.

Side note: I also tried running RoRLaunhcer "As Administrator" and that did not help.

You should be able to login now.

BTW, i tried to update an alt account, and modification has been sent instantly to game server.

Yes it seems that pw changes Update instantly. Experienced the same, scoobz
