the thing is, in the original story, Malekith was deemed unworthy, being an evil psyco and all... GW, Gav Thorpe et al., have written over that just to sell more models... Old fans don't like that, and what I guess we're saying is that it's a lame fudge and doesn't fit properly in the story/time line

is a common missunderstood , flame burnt too aenario but after his body comepletly destroyed he got a new body and resurrect with the same soul.
The old body MUST be destroyed to re-born as phoenix do...!

It wasnt like that in the old elf books. The flame was just a flame. Used by Asuryan to judge who was worthy. It burnt Malekith because of the deal he struck with Slannesh. Asuryan didnt like that. He would have properly died if not for his mothers aid.

They have now retconned all that. Now the Elven gods were drove into the mortal plane and the flame is Asuryan. You enter the flame to become one with the creator god and Malekith was burnt as he was not yet strong enough and Asuryan wanted to test him further. Pretty much scrapping 30 years of story. What a fudge!

Its just so the Dark Elf players get to keep their main guy in an High Elf list as they are pretty much scrapping almost all Woodies and Darks.

This recent change pretty much means theres never going to be another war mmo as theres just not going to be enough races. Its Chaos v the hanful of armies that make it through the cull.

I know they retconned it that Sigmar was the lost Primarch. Still it wouldnt surprise me if the Space Marines turn up looking for him and its them that finally overcome chaos. After all the last 10 years all warhammer has been is Spess Marines and friends. They just let all the other armies stagnate.

GW did not imply that the WH in the world takes. So to all who came in time GW foreseen, it was just added and fans to receive and accept. That's all. Sad, but true

i see, i tough that what i remember for malekit was the old story version, seems like they messed up a lot but anyway i read end of times khaine and i found cool, but as not an old fan i cannot judge, but well btw if that thing pag 50 was draigo then....

I bought the book but haven' read it yet. But from all the rage I've heard about it and some spoilery stuff from a friend I think I will read it as a spin-off/alternative future and not actual lore. **** GW.
