Kotbs+IB combo
Hi, my friend and I were planning to duo roam with his IB and my KotBS. Maybe it's not the best combo, but we love our tanks and we just want to have some fun and fool around a bit. Which auras should I use on my Kotbs to complement the IB buffs? what tactics do you recommend? thanks.

Yeah it will work ok xguarded tanks are nice and if well played you can beat more than your number fairly easy.

Re: Kotbs+IB combo
should be a tough duo to kill. I would go Sword and Shield on your Knight at least, keeping str pretty high makes it actually enjoyable especially in t1 and t2

Re: Kotbs+IB combo
Thx. As IB already provides str tough armor should I run resists, OYG and heal/AP aura? And tactics should be the same as for a full 6man I guess?
Re: Kotbs+IB combo
try to cater your aura choices not only to the group you are with, but to the enemy you face.
for this reason I usually leave 2 auras up so i can choose what I NEED fast. If you so happen to end up in a Scenario where its all Melee Trains, no ranged DPS and barely anything that is modified by resists, then there will obviously be better choices to go with.

Str/toughness/resist aura's always. Don't think of them as simply buffs, they also debuff so they will always be much stronger then relying on IB buffs. As soon as you get runefang slot it, and dump 20 RR points into parry. It makes you into a monster with nearly double the stats you should have, nearly 100% uptime on runefang buff with guard up. Also with trivial strikes broken(not 100% sure, seemed broken on character sheet), it is one of the only ways to buff your reduction to crit in a meaningful way.
Shoot for Encouraged Aim tactic right when you hit level 30, it's in the conquest tree, one of the strongest tactics overall available to you. Once you unlock 3rd tactic slot, runefang/rugged/encouraged aim will give you everything you need for leveling/pvp.
Don't fixate on guarding your friend either, especially if hes another tank. Pocket guard/healers throw games. Use guard properly prioritizing MDPS that you know can slay, followed by RDPS, and possibly a healer. If your guard target is out of range, and another grouped ally is taking hits, swap guard to him for the moment. It's the proper and only way to play a tank.
If you're not interested in swapping guard around to fulfill your roll, may as well roll a MDPS and stack toughness.
Knights are so strong, with this setup and proper use as a support, you can win 9/10 games easily during the leveling process.
